Disco Taco

Disco taco is legit worth it! My friend and I gave disco taco a try and I loved every bite of the vegan burrito! The waitress was very friendly and offered ideas on menu items. If you want something local and fresh this is the spot to go to!

So good! Taqueria Huentitan on north & Pulaski is a life long fave place. Disco taco is the only place that comes close!!! Delicious tacos, burritos, taco salads & guac! Disco is much closer to my home also, making it my new fave when ordering from home. I even got my office to get it for lunch one day & everyone was very happy and stuffed.

Going to dinner at Urban Vegan, we noticed this place next door that has tacos and made a note to come back later. It was a few days later we got back here to check it out. Disco Taco is a Mexican restaurant of course. Kind of a tiny place with only a few tables inside. This feels like a taco truck that's actually a restaurant. Best to come here at lunch. It's a little less busy at this time, and gets busier later on. This is important, because if you want to eat inside, there's limited space. Has only a few tables, so most people order carryout. We ate in to get the full experience, and a benefit is dining in gets you complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. Has a nice cozy feel like a bodega. It sadly doesn't have alcohol, so no margaritas. Has Mexican pop, including Jarritos. Tacos are about $3 each, which is a pretty okay price. We got some of the Vegetarian Tacos. Good stuff, full of flavor. These are small, so most people need to get a few for a meal. Good place to get authentic Mexican tacos and food. It's better than it looks. The prices are cheap for some authentic tacos.

Disco taco is fire!!!! I love their Al pastor and I've tried a LOT of Al pastor from different places all over the city and theirs is very, very good! The tacos are big, too. I will be back!

Yummmmm! Happy to have tried Disco Taco. I swung by for lunch last week and we were so impressed with our food.The outside and interior space are rather unassuming, but don't let that stop you from visiting Disco Taco! The women working the register was kind and patient with me as I looked through the menu and decided what to order. I went with carne asada and pollo tacos for myself and a burrito for my husband. It only took about 5-10 minutes for my food to be prepared, and it was made to order which was nice to see. I ordered to-go, and the food was packaged really nicely and was even complete with red and green salsa. The food was still hot and fresh by the time we made it home. The tacos were topped with cilantro and onion and were really fresh. My favorite was the carne asada. So flavorful!! And the salsa took it to the next level. Only thing I'll say is that they are definitely on the small side. My husband LOVED his burrito and it was a really decent size and stuffed with all the typical fixings; rice beans, chicken, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. I'm sure we'll be back since we're new to the neighborhood and it's a perfect quick lunch spot!

1 steak taco with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream... $5.70... GTFOH! Then got an attitude when I made them give me the toppings that I PAID FOR! Add to that, the taco wasn't that great. NEVER AGAIN!!! That's what I get for trying to patronize a neighborhood restaurant. This is exactly why I stick with Taco Burrito House on Broadway, off Irving Park. They don't price gouge like other Mexican restaurants on the Northside simply because you don't want the nasty onions and cilantro.

Tacos!!! Left to right, Al Pastor tacos is very well seasoned with small pieces of pineapple, so when you bite it it's savory with a hint of sweetness. Other taco is Chicken, also very well seasoned, both come with onions and cilantro. Sour cream is extra. Each taco is $3, which is reasonable for Chicago. We also order French fries listed under the "starters" but 3-4 people can easy share and be satisfied. Place is small, decorated with bright colors and the ambiance is festive with traditional Mexican music. They have hortacha and Jaritos sodas, as well as bottles water and the other usual drinks, sprite, coke, and bottled coke. No dessert is listed on menu. You can hear the sizzle of the grill and the aroma fills the entire space. It's one of these places that because of the size of it, you leave smelling like food. The service was excellent. We'll definitely come back again!

everyone sit down and LISTEN TO ME THIS IS THE WORLDS BEST PLACE TO GET MEXICAN FOOD do i order from them every week? yesdo i live extremely close? yes that is why i go here so oftenwhen i was touring places to live in this area i saw this place and my mom and i got an order of chips and guac to go and oh my GOD YALL literally one of the most scrumptious foods i've ever had. guacamole is my fatal flaw and if i could only eat 1 food for the rest of my life that would be it. their disco burrito is absolutely incredible and the chicken quesadillas are so good i can never get them in my mouth fast enoughi fear for the day i must move, i wanna tuck the entire building and all employees in my pocket and bring them with me everywhere i go. they're all so so friendly and nice everytime i walk in thanku disco taco it will be hard to move away someday because of u 10/10

There are many taquerias in the area that I won't return to visit. So I was skeptical to order from Disco Taco but Yelp reviews made my decision to order to go for dinner today.We ordered a fish taco, steak taco, chicken burrito and steak burrito. We came home and practically inhaled it! Perhaps it was because we came from volleyball practice but I don't think so....The steak and chicken were both seasoned well, had a nice char. While the fish filet was plump and fit the size of a folded taco, it was a smudge drier than I'd like and need a little more seasoning. I like onions and cilantro, so as far as their toppings they did not overpower the taco too much. The burrito was a good size as a hand held item. They don't made it too round and fat as some other places. It was stayed intact with each bite, which was helpful.Prices are high for the tacos but I can understand the meat prices these days. I thought the burritos are priced fairly, which is great.Disco taco lives up to their name as the music was really catchy and we were bopping to some good music while waiting for our order.Overall a good place to get some flavorful tacos and burritos. We will be back for sure.
