I ordered from Dirty Tiff's through GrubHub one evening. It was my 1st time trying them, and let me say that I WILL be back!I ordered the fried shrimp dinner and I selected macaroni and cheese and cabbage for my sides. First and foremost, my food was still piping hot when it arrived - loved that! Typically when you order fried shrimp for delivery, the breading is pale and soggy. That was definitely not the case with Dity Tiff's (as you can see from the photo)! The breading on the shrimp was crispy and well-seasoned. The sides were delicious, too. What I didn't realize is that the meal also came with dirty rice...what a pleasant surprise. The portion was HUGE, so I ate on this meal for about 2 days. The food here had me curious enough to keep exploring the menu, and boy, was it a rollercoaster! I ordered the combo jerk Alfredo, catfish nuggets, and the catfish dinner. The Alfredo came with some spicy jerk shrimp and chicken. Now, let me tell you, the Alfredo sauce had a little vinegar twist that was more "oops" than "mmm." And the chicken? More skin than meat, honey--I'd swipe left on that. But let's talk about the fried catfish--oh my, it was *Divine* with a capital D! The catfish dinner brought some scrumptious sides to the party--I chose the mac 'n' cheese and plantains, and they were both total flavor bombs. The catfish nuggets came with fries, making for a crispy, golden dream. The inside is cozy enough to sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal in a clean and comfy setting. I'll definitely be back because this place has won my foodie heart. Next on my hit list? The smothered turkey chops and fried chicken--can't wait to taste what's cookin'!

Service was awesome the 2 ladies were nice...polite and patient. Food was just okay the collard greens had a sweetness to them that threw me off... now the Mac n cheese was good and the jerk chicken. Rice and peas I always feel I need more peas/beans than rice. When you add the jerk sauce it's more of a sweet sauce than spicy that I'm use to. If you like the island sweetness on savory foods you may enjoy it, overall not bad just too sweet for me.Oh and by the way food was also microwaved...

I've visited this place a handful of times. The first few times it was award winning. But I went recently and was highly disappointed, I called in my order, I was told that most of the menu was unavailable so my choices were limited. I got the jerk 1/2 jerk chicken dark. Which I believe should have been 8 pieces of chicken, which when I got home and do opened my food I only got 4 pieces . They gave me 2 legs and 2 thighs which they cut each thigh in half. Very disappointing. The sides were cabbage and rice and peas. They were ok but the rice was undercooked. Not as good as I remember. Maybe a bad day. I will reconsider going back, to see if this is true Good customer service

Let's talk about this Bronzeville gem!A husband-and-wife Black owned business that combines Jamaican and Southern cuisines, this place serves up the food from your childhood. What it lacks in decor and seating (maybe enough room for 10-12 people), it makes up for in Tiffany's genuine demeanor and delicious menu offerings, including turkey chops! As soneone who doesn't eat pork, this alternative is hard to find, and Dirty Tiff's does it perfectly: cooked without being too dry, covered in gravy, and great portions.

Let's get into it!!! Rarely do I give a solid 5 stars. But from a suggestion on my Doordash feed to in person todays experience was top notch. I ordered the fried catfish and quarter jerk. Pairing with rice and beans, Mac and cabbage. The jerk was finger licking good. I hate that the drive home was longer than regular and so the fish was a bit cold. I wanted the first bite of crunch. Though I missed that u can say the flavoring /breading was just right and most definitely fresh. Mac and cheese and rice were our favorites. The owner was right up front taking orders and greeting customers. So friendly and community oriented. She was hosting a coat drive in the sit down area and I personally witnessed the generosity when a young man came in and just asked for a coat. No lecture, id check or would you like to order something speech. She just walked him over and let him pick. Oh did I mention mimosa while I waited? Customer care at its finest. Love it. Food was worth the wait and you get a hearty portion. Highly recommend and will go back.

I've now gone to Dirty Tiff's THREE DAYS in a row for dinner. The Beef Short Ribs were so tender & tasty! The jerk chicken was flavorful, and the meatloaf was savory and DELICIOUS. The greens are well seasoned with a touch of spiciness. The candied sweets have the flavor you are looking for in them without being drowned in sugar or syrup. The mac & cheese is dish that still has opportunity to be improved upon. It had good browning on top which helped the taste. The peas and rice were SOLID. Seasoned well and topped with a very tasty gravy. All three of my meals were carry outs.

GO HERE! Seriously, just go. My husband and I were looking for a good jerk place to try in the neighborhood and this place popped up. Well reading through some reviews and pics, we decided to give it a try. I tell you what, it may not look like much from the outside, the food is the real deal! They are putting their foot in it for real! We got the jerk chicken dinner and the fried catfish dinner. The chicken is good on its own, but that sauce is fire. And the peas and rice was a hit for the both of us with that pepper jelly sauce. The greens were so good and had just enough spice and the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. But I've got to hand it to them with the yams. I have never liked candied yams. But I would buy a side of these anytime! I loved that they weren't overly sweet and were large chunks of sweet potato. We will definitely be back to try some other dishes. And as a bonus, happy to support a local business.

Incredible soul food. best i've had so far in chicago. haven't left a yelp review in forever, but this place is so amazing that i had to leave one. Love the yams and catfish
