Service wasn't great. Went with a party of 6. Waitresses never came back to table after she dropped off our food (no drink refills or extra napkins). I suspect that since the 20% tip is included onto a party of six or more she knew her tip was a done deal so why bother helping those customers anymore. The audacity here is the added service charge and suggesting for additional tipping on the bill. Mediocre at best.

Been a loyal fan to Dirty Birds for years and love going to this location and the Point Loma one as well but never have I received such horrible customer service from a server before. As someone who used work in the food industry and was a server myself for years in Old Town, I don't think I have ever received such disappointing service from an establishment before. So much so that this is the first negative review I have ever submitted on this app. My family and I went on a Monday night fully aware that it may be packed due to the Padres playing that night, and the wing special offered on Mondays. Surprisingly it was a calmer night but our food took little less than an hour to be provided. The food came out cold and the shrimp basket I ordered was cooked in an entirely different sauce than what I had originally ordered. When informing our server Karina about it she said "oh we're sold out of Dry Jerk that's why we confirmed we you to get Wet Jerk." First of all she only ever came to our table 2 times. The first time to take our order and the second time to give my family and I our drinks. Her and I never had another exchange after the food was ordered. I politely told the server that we never confirmed anything and if they were out of the seasoning I ordered, that it was okay as long as I can get it remade to a sauce I actually request and not be given a defaulted one. Not sure why she needed to say that she "confirmed" with me knowing that she never came to our table besides taking the initial order and giving us our drinks and it took forever to even get napkins, let alone the right food. Waited another 25~ minutes on top of the 40 minutes already waited, and our server never once checked in on my corrected food I was still waiting for, and never once apologized. I understand if a mistake was made but to say that she "confirmed" with me was a lie. Mistakes happen but at least an apology goes a long way for a customer that has to wait 60 minutes for the right appetizer. My boyfriend had to call the server over to our table again to check in on my food and she not one ever addressed me, looked in my direction, or gave me any eye contact. Almost came off like she was mad I said anything and made me feel bad for speaking up. Once my food came she just dropped it off in the middle of the table far from me and completely ignored me and never once said a word when dropping the food. She came back a couple of times only addressing my boyfriend but not once spoke a word to me or the rest of the table. It's one thing to be so busy that you're just going with the pace of the rush but another thing to blatantly ignore the customer you wrongfully served incorrectly and also lie to them that you "confirmed" the change of order when their was no dinner rush.. I truly was appalled at the customer service and still tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that it was just a miscommunication with my order but her attitude and actions afterwards were blatantly obvious in this case. Not only to me, but my entire family as well. I was so excited to come to this location mostly since I just moved in the neighborhood, and was excited to be so close to my favorite restaurant, but after this experience I truly don't want to come back. Truly upset and sad that my favorite place gave such horrible service. No apology, no check in, no communication, nothing at all. But she sure as hell only addressed me when it came down to the mentioning that the bill had added gratuity. That's understandable given we were a party of 7, but no way was she deserving of 20% gratuity after the attitude she had the entire time, no follow up or anything, and ignoring me and my family the entire time. So disappointing. Point Loma location it is for now.

We had just gotten massages and were hungry. We saw the sign and pulled in, cause you can never go wrong with DBs. We started with some fried pickles, which were very good and surprisingly not that tart. My gf went with the Caesar Salad with chicken and I had my usual a burger. Can't believe I haven't reviewed before as I have nothing but good things to say about Dirty Birds!!They have the best happy hour specials and the tastiest wings in San Diego for sure!! My all time favorite flavor is the 3 peat bbq which is a buffalo and bbq mix with the perfect flavor combo and crispiest wingsI usually prefer traditional but their boneless wings (which we ordered tonight) are so meaty and they give you an insane portion, for the Wednesday special we got each plate for $7!!!!

Stayed at The Lamplighter Inn across the street while attending Stevie Nicks.The receptionist recommended Dirty Birds for food and drink so we decided to check them out. The place was packed! We actually lucked out being wing Wednesday! The wings were so good o forgot to take pics! The spicy habanero were my favorite! I also split a burger with my sister and it was cooked perfectly medium. Nice and juicy! Paired it with and IPA and was ready to head out to the concert! The two ladies bartending were amazing! They were super cute and gave everyone equal attention despite the place being seriously slammed! Good vibes, good food, food drinks, and good people!

Went here to watch the SDSU vs Yale game and round of 32 game and what an amazing atmosphere! This is where you want a go for hometown action. Tons of seating but parking can be challenging. The staff is super friendly and we were seated pretty quickly given the rush of business during the game. The wings were average to me as well as the mozzarella sticks but the fries were amazing. The sweet tea seems like sweet green tea vs the advertised southern tea but it tasted fine anyways. Come here for the atmosphere and enjoy some bar food. It's a good time.

Normally I am a fan of AYCE wings but I'm glad I didn't here because I would have wasted money.We came on a Tuesday (half-off wings so around $1 each) instead of $25 AYCE Monday since I wanted to try out the flavors first. To break even, I would need to eat at least 25 wings, which would be impossible. The wings here were huge, and my max was 15. Service was prompt and wings came out all at once. Now, onto the flavors we tried.Lemon Pepper: ol reliable. Simple and delicious.Garlic Parm: can't go wrong if you love garlic.Aztec: too salty. Not a fan.Dirty Dry Rub: too salty. Didn't like the salt/spice balance.Dirty Ranch: great harmony between hot and savory.Mango Habanero: it's sweet and savory. Not as spicy as it should be.Garlic Serrano: great hint of garlic with a nice spicy kick.Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're craving wings on a Tuesday to take advantage of the $1 wings.

Great flavors and tons of options, truly a place to enjoy bar styled food with an array of sauce options. The service can be lackluster especially when they're slow, as though they don't mind staying slow, but the environment is enjoyable with TVs surrounding the center and a nice open bar.
