Dini's By The Sea

We did another visit and was not quite as dazzled this time. However, I will still give them the 5 stars because it remains to be a homey place to come to for a meal by the ocean with simple interior design. Our food ordered this time were avocado stuffed with krab and rocky shrimp (prezo great but flavor wasn't quite distinctive - dill sauce tasted curry-ish), the Cobb salad (good sized and good variety), buffalo chicken wings (attempted crispy but it was overdone - good sweet chili sauce) and a shrimp cocktail (their cocktail sauce was sooooo yummy; Enjoyed the horseradish in it). I still highly recommend this restaurant to all!

Great location and nice view. Decent prices and nice staff. The food was so bland. The chowder had no flavor and the potato needed something. The crab was a bit on the sweet side again lacking a bit of salt or flavor. But the worst part was how many pieces of shell were in it. I could not eat it. I ate the avocado and left almost all the crab.

I didn't have the highest expectations of this place but I was pleasantly surprised and I loved it. I've never been here before and had anxieties about parking, wait times, heat lamps, etc. However, once I arrived, everything worked out super well. They have parking in their garage but if not, there's plenty of street parking available. There was no wait when I came at a Saturday around 5:40pm. And it was a cold day with cloudy weather and there were indeed heat lamps. Dini's will likely be busier though on better weather days so something to keep in mind. We ordered the blacked shrimp pasta, and the flat iron. Both were delicious. We also ordered a clam chowder. I was surprised as to how big the portions were with the pasta! The 2 entrees were definitely enough for 3! The flat iron was delicious. I thought the mashed potatoes under it weren't that special but overall, the dish is a must have! The service was also fast and efficient. I highly recommend this place. It comes with a nice ocean view which is a plus. Definitely coming back!

Dini's is nestled on Carlsbad Blvd right across the street from Carlsbad Beach. The views are awesome at Sunset from the patios and inside the restaurant. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰There's a Complimentary Parking Lot behind the restaurant and street parking nearby as well.〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰Have dined here many times with friends of mine, their food & drink options at Happy Hour are Tasty!Had a Spicy Margarita & Garlic Shrimp Pizza last time.It's always been a Fun place to dine by the Coastline.〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰

Ocean view and friendly service. Food is also fresh and yummy. What more can you ask for? Locate 7 mins from legoland and across the street from ocean. We visit on a Monday after a day at legoland. Patio seats were all taken but interior is just as charming. This restaurant has its own covered parking. Although covered parking Space is limited, There are always street parking.

1st time here and was impressed by the quality of customer service and food was delicious , a plus was the view of the Pacific Ocean We will definitely be back

Good food with casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Service was quick and very friendly and the food came out in huge portions. Overall, a great, casual place to have some dinner right by the beach, especially if you have kids.

I've walked by this place for years while working and always wanted to try it. I was mourning the death of my sister and met a friend there for something really brief due to our tight schedules. It was a gorgeous day. The bartender was awesome and helpful, the food came out super quickly, the pricing was to be expected for ocean view dining.....we each got the cucumber vodka cocktail which was super refreshing. We had the tuna poke tostada, super tasty and flavorful with great textures. We got the stuffed avocado which was also fabulous but needed more of that green sauce (I'm sure I could have asked). The chocolate mousse was among the best I've ever had which is great because it's my favorite. I was really tempted to have the cheesecake as well but decided against it. Our bill was $76 without the tip. Peyton was our server and she was very pleasant. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. Relaxed, no frills, and perfect views. Fantastic place to go for a nice walk on the boardwalk after.
