Two things I love about Ding Tea: they're open late (until 10!) and they have a pandan waffle. What's a pandan waffle? It's a green coconut flavor bomb, that's what. You can get it crispy and plain or covered with all manner of yumminess like condensed milk, fruit, or even boba. Not your cup of *ahem* tea? Then get the macaron ice cream sandwich in so many different flavors. I guess they have boba tea too. A huge variety, in fact, and you can customize the ice and sweet level. They have dalgona, they have different bobas, they have coffees. Honestly if you can't find something you love you're broken. So hurry on down to Ding Tea. You won't be sorry.

I ordered the monster boba latte and the strawberry yogurt slush. The slush was very sweet and the monster boba latte was amazing. The cashier was the only one working so luckily it wasn't too busy. I would come here again for a quick boba fix.

Stopped in for a drink. Completely empty. I was surprised that they didn't offer milk substitutes.(oat, almond, coconut, soy?) Then I saw this sign by the register. (Photo attached) NON- dairy creamer is NOT dairy free? Confused, because I was always told it was. I asked the girl behind the register and she just smiled and said she doesn't know what it says?? Really.? Ok we'll I read it back to her and she still couldn't explain it? I let her know it was confusing but she had no knowledge of it. They didn't seem to care about returning customers. Disappointed.

Ding Tea has been my go to boba spot lately. Quick service with refreshing flavors and taste. I typically order a large lychee green tea, no sugar, and extra golden boba. The service is always friendly and I haven't had to wait long for drinks. The Poway plant wall also adds a nice decor touch!

They are popping up in every city! Good for them! For the most part, they are all consistent but this time I did not get the same wow factor on my milk tea.I usually get regular milk tea, winter melon milk tea or Hokkaido milk tea. Got Hokkaido this time and was disappointed. I did less ice, 50% sugar, no boba. You would think with less ice, that it would taste less diluted except it tasted like I had 100% ice and it melted on a hot day and I'm left with watered down tea. The 50% usually gives me the exactly sweetness because 25% sugar is too bland for me. Well, it was equivalent to 25% sweet because it was diluted and very bland.Hokkaido milk tea is a Japanese black tea with milk and usually gives off a caramel milky taste. Not sure if they have these settings pre-measured or eye ball because it wasn't consistent to other places. Probably need to go more sweet at this location. The prices are fair with $4.95 and additional $0.95 for a large. Ding Tea is a competitor of The Boba Co. now and they are pretty close to each other.

There's a new Ding Tea in town! I've always felt Poway was a little behind other neighborhoods in San Diego when it comes to boba shops, so it's nice to finally see a Ding Tea here. Today is the Grand Opening day, so they have a special going on today and tomorrow. Buy 1 get 1 free, and a gift for the first 50 customers. I'm a little bummed that I didn't get here earlier, and the line was already wrapped around the building, and the inside was packed with customers too.I will definitely stop by later to support their new business and provide my review on the drinks. For now, I wanted to get the word out about this new boba location and raise awareness.LATER in the afternoon around 2pm:So we were determined to come back to this Ding Tea location to support their business. Also, what's a review if I don't try out the drinks myself?!We got the jasmine green milk tea with grass jelly, large, 50% sweet. Also ordered the taro milk tea with pudding, large, 50% sweet. Both were great and sweet enough without being overly sweet! With the BOGO promotion, the second base drink was free, so we got $4.75 off. This promotion is good all day today and tomorrow, no max on the number of free drinks. Buy one and get the second base drink free, it's that simple!Hint: Drinks with grass jelly, pudding, and coconut jelly taste just as great the next day, so grab an extra drink or two to maximize the grand opening special! The service was quick and friendly! I really love the simple yet elegant decor. Great new addition to the Poway community!

We were so excited to finally get a DingTea in town. Their drinks are great, similar to all the other DingTea locations I've been to. We are addicted to boba and will come every day, BUT this location's prices are way more expensive than the Mira Mesa, Santee, or Balboa locations. About $2.50 more per drink and this adds up since I usually order 2-4 drinks each time. Also, this location is a little stingy on their toppings. The toppings don't even reach the 2nd bottom line on their cups! Boo!I understand saving gas since I'm not driving as far, but I drive towards the other areas for other reasons anyway so it's not saving much. If the owner of this location can even knock .50 cents off per drink I'd be happy since I'd love to come more often. I've added a pic of the amount of boba the Mira Mesa location gives. Maybe the owner will take note (please). I want this location to thrive and be my go to boba joint!

I'm not a big fan of boba but my daughter and her friends are so I find myself trying different tea places with them from time to time. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before trying this place because I probably would have passed, but my experience here was excellent today. I got a dalgona coffee milk tea and omg it was delicious. Decadent and a perfect balance of coffee and tea flavors. My daughter and her friend each got slushies with golden boba. I tried it and they were yummy as well. Very refreshing. The golden boba had a really nice texture- delicate and not gummy. The girls each got a macaron ice cream as well (I was in a good mood being a pushover, lol) and they both really liked it. I thought the prices were reasonable and the young man at the counter was very attentive and helpful. Generally I am not very impressed with boba/tea places but I can see myself coming here again. Give them a chance!

Honestly, in all honesty, I don't even know how to articulate my absolutely bizarre experience here. 1. Ding tea is a chain - drinks across all chains follow the same recipe, it should be reasonable to expect to go to multiple locations, get the same drink, and have it all taste the same. This location does not do that. Why? Just why. The oolong tasted so off, it didn't have the creamy tea flavor of other locations it tasted like straight up oolong powder, you know the cheap stuff that tastes burnt and wrong? Yeah that's what it was like here. Bad. 2. The price??? The audacity of the prices?????? $7.70. Seven-dollars-and-seventy- cents. For a large (+.95c) milk tea with MICROWAVED??????? boba (also upcharge of .95c). YES MICROWAVED BOBA. in the year 2023, the boba was microwaved in front of me. The audacity. Of it all. I'm shocked and speechless. I'm still thinking about it. What in the world. Does this location just not have access to boba warmers?? To a crockpot set to warm?????? Microwaved boba??? In front of customers???? And an upcharge of 95 CENTS????? AN ALMOST WHOLE DOLLAR FOR MICROWAVED BOBA THAT WASN'T EVEN WARMED????? THE AUDACITY?????????????? Microwaved boba?????? 3. The whole place did not feel welcoming at all but that's besides the point I'm just still mad about the microwaved boba All in all, literally down the street is another tea spot called Boba Co. about $6 for a drink but so much better than this ding tea in Poway. Microwaved boba?????????????????Interesting that business owner Tai N. replied to my review to tell me I was wrong. I'm sorry business owner Tai N, were you also in the store at the same time, cause I could've sworn it was just the one guy there who made my drink with the microwaved boba using the microwave that's right there in front of the receiving counter, or were you hiding? Is the microwave also there for decoration? Interesting choice I won't fault you there. But I will fault you over your audacious comment of where is the evidence, I don't make it a habit of photographing people when doing their job, but you can make it a habit as the business owner Tai N to loom through your CCTV if there even is one to see what goes on. How dare you say I didn't receive microwaved boba, was my tea microwaved then?? Am I just randomly having auditory hallucinations in this random Ding Tea in Poway? Am I giving this one star review for the hell of it cuz I'm bored? Now I know where the audacity to sell drinks for gauged out prices comes from. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should be ashamed of your business. You should be ashamed of your efforts and practices in regards to mediating any sort of situation. Don't message me again. This place sucks simple as that. Don't tell me what I experienced.
