Dim Sum King is the place to go if you want dim sum on a budget or just a quick snack while you're in IDistrict. When you walk in, they have the menu on the wall where you can order an individual items with quite a few dim sum items being just over a dollar and the more expensive options ranging up to three-ish bucks. It is cash only unless you spend over ten to fifteen bucks and they have 2-3 small tables if you want to dig in right away.Is this the best dim sum in Chinatown? No, but it's certainly the most bang for your buck. In general, the dim sum is more dough and less meat than I prefer (this was the case for the steamed bbq pork bun and the fried meat football), but the flavor was solid and would certainly hit the spot. The custard bun was my favorite item I tried and the egg tart has the classic crumbly shell, though the egg custard was a little too set for my preference.

It was our last day in Seattle and we wanted to grab some dim sum. In my research, I came across Dim Sum King. This restaurant doesn't have the typical dim sum carts. Instead, you order on a piece of paper and the staff pack the dim sum in to go boxes. The price of the items are a la carte so you have to write in how many of the items you want. The wait wasn't very long from handing my order to paying. I ordered a variety of traditional dim sum favorites and everything was fresh and delicious. There were some tables inside, but everyone was just ordering and taking it to go.

Convenient grab to go place but also has some tables to dine in (although not the Best DIne In ambiance). All orders come in plastic to go box. I got an assortment of dim sum including Shaomai, shrimp dumpling, turnip cake, shrimp rice roll, fa gao. They are all good but not the best dim sum I've had.Service is efficient. There are papers where you can order from near the entrance, once you select everything, simply hand it to one of the staffs.

Ambience is a clean- ish hole in wall. Boxes and storage scattered throughout restaurant. Food is good. When it's HOT! Had to get "footballs" microwaved as they were stone cold. Service is good. Just ask for help. Food is delicious. Except for the cold fried footballs. Good place to go to get a late afternoon dimsum fix.

Came to order in and sit down to eat everything fresh. Also wanted to pay attention to the service. I don't usually have high "American" expectations in authentic Asian places. But I gotta say the ladies were nice and attentive. I didn't feel unwlecomed. Custard buns were everyone's favorite. Wish it had more custard but still decent amount of filling. The mango dessert was good, not too sweet and nice aftertaste of mango. Not the texture I expected though, it was like a mango pudding jello. I wanted to order ahead online but I think the prices are higher online. And to be honest, we didn't wait at all, it took a couple minutes and they were not out of anything yet at 11am on a Saturday. Definitely love bringing guests here.

Came by for some buns before the train. It was fresh and quick. I especially liked the large chicken bun which had a nice mix of textures and flavors. The roast pork bun was just a bit sweet for me. The pan fried pork bun wasn't very fried but had a good filling. Totally adding this to me list of train travel go-tos!

Dim Sum King is a very affordable dim sum place in Seattle with above average quality. I like their shrimp dumplings which have lots of fillings and the rice roll which is super soft. It is more of a to go place with little seatings and the lines build up quickly during the weekend. The service is very fast and it is very easy to order with the sheet that they provide. I like this kind of old school Hong Kong dim sum place where you can get good Chinese food quickly and buy more for the next day.

I've heard that this dim sum shop was a bit different from the traditional restaurants. 1. It's take out only and 2. It's pay per item. Thankfully, they were opened very early for me and my boyfriend to grab some dim sum for breakfast before driving down to San Diego! It's located in between the WaFd Bank and Dong Sing Market on S Jackson St in the International District. There's only street parking around the area which could be very difficult to find even around 8am. There was already a line out of the shop when my boyfriend and I arrived. Luckily, there was a spot right in front of the shop!My boyfriend ordered everything for us. He got the Siu Mai (4), Shrimp Dumpling (4), Turnip Cake (1), Shrimp Rice Roll (2), and Red Bean Mochi (2). The total was about $30 something which wasn't bad for the amount of things we had! The prices for dim sum have been increasing, so I found this to be quite a deal. The quality of everything wasn't fully the best but still delicious nonetheless! I really liked the siu mai and turnip cake as they had a ton of flavor in them. It was kind of difficult to eat while driving, but my boyfriend and I made it work! I wished there were beef balls to order as that's one of my favorite dim sum dishes but regardless, everything was delicious! Can't beat cheap prices early for good quality dim sum in the early mornings.Overall, a great place to grab a "quick" take out order in the morning. The prices here weren't that bad and was definitely a great choice for those on the go in the early mornings.

This is a good dim sum in the go. Everything is ready to go. When you come in to the left there's a small paper to fill, don't miss it! I missed it and the lady seemed annoyed of my order. It was my first time there so I wasn't sure how many to an order. I paid $13 for a decent sample of items. No line and it was quick. I was craving everything in Chinatown and this was the small and quick fix that I need it. Definitely a must stop when in Chinatown.
