Local taco spot which now has new name. We usually walk to this place as it is nearby. There is free parking on North Ave. They are pretty quick at finalizing your order. What we have gotten here are the burritos, chicken dinner special and tacos. All are good. The price is reasonable for the area. I noticed that they now have specials on the weekend for traditional mexican fare. During the winter I seen menudo and pozole. Additionally they have Taco Tuesdays for the new crowd. All in all a solid spot. Not fancy but clean and every that works there is nice. Inside they have traditional mexican juices and horchata. Additionally you can get guacamole and fresh chips as an add on. This place is BYOB.

Another Mexican restaurant in Chicago. Typical colorful decor w/colorful flags hanging throughout the restaurant. Good marketing w/many photos on the restaurant exterior of the cuisine inside. Nice clean restaurantI ordered the Al pastor taco dinner w/ beans & rice unfortunately everything was over salted (way too salty f my taste).

They have a good menu selection. I've had a taco dinner and a chicken fajita dinner. I enjoyed both! The serving are big enough for take home. The place is clean and bright. The service is prompt and friendly. I didn't care much for the chips, salsa was good.

Was excited to try the food here and ended up not enjoying it. I hate to assume but it might be safe to say, that your dining experience on tastes differ based on your ethnicity. The steak burrito was bland. The steak itself had lots of hard fat pieces and the bland beans were used as a filler. There's no way this is home cooking unless there's a secret menu. I don't like Americanized cooking. The place is clean inside which was nice to see.

I saw this place as I was driving down North Ave and decided to stop in for lunch. I got the taco dinner and it was delicious. I usually stick to chicken or veggie but decided to give the carne asada a try and let me tell you, I'm happy i did. It was perfecto. I will definitely be back for more.

I consider myself a taco connoisseur. I've been in Chicago for over 13 years and have visited countless taco spots. This place is VERY SOLID. We got steak taco, al pastor taco, chicken tostada and al pastor burrito. On a scale of 1-10, I put this at a 9-9.5. Very well seasoned, excellent shells, great toppings that are abundant and the people who run it are extremely friendly and caring. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
