Diane's Market Kitchen is OPEN! We spent an evening (my workers and I) with Diane - first a tour of the Pikes Place Market and then an INCREDIBLE evening of awesome food. Learned so much! Diane is incredibly engaging and fun - you can't ask for a better host. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Enjoy!

I had a chance to check out Diane's artisan food class with 5 app and 1 dessert (all vegetarian!) and found Diane to be super entertaining.I don't think of Diane so much of a chef but much of a friend who doesn't intimidate you with fancy chopping and cooking skills...but rather more like someone who you can feel free to enjoy talking about food and its origin, helping prepare a healthy meal right in the kitchen. What I like most about Diane's style is that her food contains at most 4-5 ingredients. I also appreciate that Diane tried her based to source her ingredients from local producers...(e.g. vote and put your money where you support!). They are simple, health focused, practical and easy to prepare, especially for someone like me who doesn't have as in depth kitchen skills. She didn't intimidate me at all with all the stuff I didnt know what to do or how to use around the kitchen.Overall, I highly recommend Diane's class. I wouldn't say its full blown madness of cooking involved, but rather more light coming and entertaibment of the party you are taking your class with! If I had another chance, I would definitely love to take Diane's class again for sure!P.S. I also appreciated she followed up and sent us information about the local vendors that we can get the ingredients we used in the class and the recipe of the dishes we made that day.

This is a pretty and picturesque venue, really close to Pike Place Market, so fun shopping before and after class.Diane is effervescent and personable, making each guest feel welcome. The classroom is bright and cheerful and just a great space in which to be. She was generous with her beverage pours and the shrubs were delicious. Our difficulty with the class is mainly that our group of ten wanted a private class that involved us cooking something together and not merely watching the instructor assemble things she had premade before class, or demo a few techniques. I had asked before setting this up, and was reassured that there would be some hands-on for those who wanted to get their hands dirty. Sadly, this was not the case & I heard from disappointed friends afterward who wondered why I'd even brought aprons. After they'd paid $100 each, I felt embarrassed, as the organIzer.Diane did ask if there were food allergies, which was great, but then served apple chips when one member had an apple allergy. Several items demoed were gluten-free, though none of us are.Overall we had a lovely time, but will likely visit Hot Stove or the Pantry next time to really be involved.

Great food, great experience and walked away learning more about food than I expected! This is not a full hands on cooking class (which is perfect for me!). We did taste along the way and got some hands on with supervision! We came for a team building event and had so much fun. Diane is knowledgeable, assertive (in the right way) and knows how to capture your attention. She shared some great techniques and we made a meal that I never would have been able to (or thought of) on my own. Really great night! Highly recommend!

Seems like others may have received a better experience than we did. Diane was a pleasure - kind, attentive, and charming. She taught us a lot and was warm in her approach. Sadly, we received a demonstration only. It was not a cooking class. She walked us through steps, let us taste ingredients etc, and then presented the final version for us to eat each time. We didn't get our hands dirty at all which is what we looked forward to. Perhaps this was intended but if so, the website description should have been clearer.

If I could give this more stars, I would. I took my first class last night and I am hooked! Diane is extremely warm and inviting in her classy, well-equipped kitchen. I took the seafood class and we made seared scallops, gulf shrimp, a turnip and beet salad, pan-seared salmon with kale chips, and a rustic apple pear crumble. OMG I ate so well last night. Dianne is very knowledgeable and will make you comfortable and unafraid of new things. She let us taste and smell every ingredient before we used it and taught us a lot about how to appreciate and support local farmers and fishermen who are getting great food to us sustainably. I really loved her perspective on our relationship with food. The entire 2 hours class (6-9pm) was filled with wine, laughs, and lots of patience as she answered our many questions. I am so happy I took a class here and I know that I will be taking many more. Fan for life!Take a class here if you're a beginner, a foodie, or even if you already know your way around the kitchen. You won't regret it!

Diane's Kitchen is an incredible experience! She is super knowledgeable about each ingredient she uses and everything is remarkably fresh and most impressive of all, local. You'll learn more here in a few hours than most people find out in a lifetime. Great place!

This is a wonderful place to learn to cook or expand on your skills. Diane knows how to do it, teach it and talk it. Great way to spend time with family or friend by taking a class together. It is a roll up the sleeves, hands on evening. Enjoy your meal when you are done and you will not be disappointed. Small class size and they go quick, sign up now.

Just got back from a cooking class with Diane, it was great! She is very knowledgeable about everything related to cooking, sourcing ingredients, maintaining cookware, etc. She guided us through some great dishes (including probably the best soup I've had) and helped us understand the process and the stories behind the different ingredients. She's got a lot of passion for her work and it comes throughPro-tip: it is apparently not good cooking technique to throw a glob of cumin into the middle of a dish, even if you do say "bam!" Don't make my mistake

I cannot say enough good things about Diane and her classes. I've been to a few of her classes. Most recently I put together a holiday cooking class for my family. We all had a great time and we learned so much. I have gone to many cooking classes in the Seattle area and Diane's classes simply are the best. You get a lot of individual attention, eat great food, and learn recipes and techniques you can use for years to come.
