Dewberry Cafe

We stopped in for breakfast. They serve breakfast all day and lunch but note their hours, they close at 2 pm. The food was simple and delicious, just what we needed. The service was great and my coffee was kept full and hot. Will come back for lunch!

We just enjoyed breakfast at the newly renovated Dewberry Cafe (formerly Beckey's Cafe). The updated decor is clean and modern, and the staff seem energized by the changes. The "vaquero" breakfast was a hit, especially the fresh pico, and corn tortillas.

Passing through and happened on this spot! It was packed with locals. Apparently, it has changed hands to a new owner. Place was buzzing with excitement, which was an enjoyable feel that showed a nice home town feel. Looks family run, we ordered the lunch special which was a good move as there was not a seat available in the house. Things were running at full capacity and all hands were on deck.! The food was great, and the atmosphere to me was the gem, the owner and other family members were in full work mode in making this run well finely tuned on a Saturday on a commerative celebratory day. Good luck to this family run establishment for many more years to come! I hear the pies are great, but we had no room left. Our meals were solid!

Delicious breakfast, and took dewberry pie to go. Oh my goodness! Wonderful! We were lucky they had some left.

The food was delicious and had a homemade and home vibe!! The service and the courteous service alone would have come back!!

Was heading home and wanted to eat at a local place that I've never been to and found this one. It's a cute little cafe/diner with homestyle cooking. I had the special of the day: chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, sautéed cabbage and creamed corn (which I didn't eat because I don't like corn). It was all delicious! It's nothing fancy, but those are usually the best places! And the staff was super nice!

This place is terrific! Staff is so friendly food is amazing. Had the special, grilled catfish with butter potatoes, baked beans, slaw and salad. Didn't eat the roll as I'm gluten free. The grilled catfish was awesome! Great seasonings and cane with grilled onions. Yummy with the butter potatoes. Loved the slaw. Large pieces of cabbage in a light slaw dressing. Was perfect! I'm not a fam of baked beans so didn't eat them either, but I t was still stuffed! Hubs had the pork chop breakfast plate. 2 pork chops with eggs and hashbrowns. We wanted to try the blueberry cream cheese pie, but we're both just full!!!!

Enjoyed brunch. Food was very good and friendly service. Cute old town restaurant. Highly recommend.

Dewberry Cafe is a great place to go on a Saturday morning in Columbus when you are looking to relax and enjoy the morning while eating great food. We ordered the Vaquero plate, which was delicious especially with their homemade pico and they have yummy homemade salsa you can ask for as well. We also had the classic pancakes with eggs and grits. Very tasty! The service was also wonderful! We will be coming back to try everything else on the menu for breakfast and lunch. The environment inside is really clean and cozy! Great way to start our weekend.

Driving through Columbus, found Dewberry Cafe for down-home breakfast. Hash browns were buttery. Pancake was fluffy. Over easy eggs were done just right.Hubby said biscuits and gravy were good!Friendly staff!Go if in Columbus, TX!
