Great place to hang out, great location. Food is great too, went with my daughter who's at ASU.

If you didn't catch it from previous reviews, Devil's Advocate is an ASU bar, NOT a place to have a dinner to catch up with friends/family. Wednesday night was trivia night. At the risk of sounding crotchety, between that and the loud music playing, our party of 4 could not hear each other.Bar burgers are usually pretty good. They weren't here. All of our burger buns were so dry, I opted to eat my burger protein style. Everything else was ok. Pop in for a quick pregame, not a meal.

I came here with my colleagues and professors as a celebration after a school event. Since this place was very close to campus, it felt like a typical college bar. I tried their margarita, which was pretty ordinary. We also had some appetizers which were typical bar finger food. The outdoor patio seating area was cute and well decorated. It was nice to sit outside, especially during AZ winter. I think this place is good for students who live nearby and want to have a place to hang out at night. Or if you want to watch games at an affordable place, this would be a good option as well.

We were enjoying the game when the bottom of my husband's beer glass dropped off! He sat there soaked. No one offered him a towel. I had glass shards on me and possibly in our food and drinks. We kindly paid our tab and left to change clothes. They did offer to replace the ‍ the patrons were more concerned than the staff.

Updating my review! Jarred delivered and the pretzel is back on the menu! Great drinks, great food (pretzel, SoCal chicken and green chili chicken rolls) and great service from Rebecca! Best place around to "tailgate" for an ASU game or just come in to watch football, have a drink or a bite to eat!

I've come here three times and all the servers are fucking assholes. I'm done with this place. I've also come here at night and they charge me a $35 cover straight to the Venmo which I'm pretty sure the owner doesn't know about this place is a scam fuck this place.

I wouldn't give it a one star only because I have to. horrible understaffed !hours to get a drink or food. If you know you're having an event or it's gonna be busy. Make sure you have enough people . looking around the bar. All kinds of empty glasses, a bunch of young kids, not knowing what they're doing get it together. Devils advocate, your name suits you

Holy moly, I couldn't believe how packed this place was. Mind you I'm reviewing years after the fact. I calso couldn't believe it was still open, let alone as busy as it was. Close to the university is why, I presume. I'm aware I wouldn't be able to be there now as I'm not as hip as I was even a few years ago. I believe we met an owner, for the life of me, I can't remember his name but he was an older cat, I want to say he asked us to call him Uncle something ... he bought us a round, he was cool and made me feel less out of place. As I said, it was a while ago but it was a good time that night.

Close to ASU. Went on a Monday night after the brewery nearby closed for the night. Bar tenders were attentive. They had an event outside, but was a bit chilly and only option was a table without a heater nearby.The night we went out wasn't busy.i was across the street the following evening and saw the place packed outside. Decent priced drinks too.
