The name doesn't lie!When you walk in to a donut shop at 6:30am and there are already a group of guys at the counter with their donuts and coffee, joking and bantering about the latest sports and news, you know you've come to the right place.Yum Yum is the right place, indeed. Whereas they don't focus too much on the fancy over the top donuts you see nowadays, they focus on the quality of old fashioned true-blue donuts. Yum Yum Donuts make quality donuts that stand the test of time and are better than any odd concoction some of these fancy donut places are trying too hard to achieve.I travel the country, and the world, going into different locations all year long. Whenever possible, I always try to find the best donut shop in the area. I'd rather go in empty handed than bring in any of the "fast-food" chain type of garbage donuts that many seem to flock to. I look for the real local donut shops that know how to deliver the goods. This is not only to impress, but also out of pure selfishness. I am a donut lover and connoisseur and grew up with a donut shop in my family. For this reason, I have a high bar however donuts don't have to be complicated to be good.Yum Yum Donuts hit all the marks. Selection of varieties, quality and price.Would I go back? I cannot wait to go back. Yum Yum is my go-to place for quality donuts in this area. When you bring in good donuts, people notice. Sure, people appreciate when you bring in the big chain fast-food donuts, but I have literally seen people put those donuts down when I come in with a box to two of the real deal. This is a fact. People appreciate the extra effort in bringing in the quality and showing your appreciation to them by doing so.Get some of these now, before they sell out for the day!

Oh bro,, there's not doubt that this joint is probably never on anyone's radar. But since my brother in law wanted to grab some brefix. We decided to stop by after hooping it up at the Y on the way back to the house house.So we ordered 5 ham, egg and cheese bagel to go. One for every person at the house. I'm more of a savory brefix type. Even though the doughnuts and the fritters on the display case looks amazing. The sandwich is super delish and pretty sizable too. So if you're not really that hungry, you can definitely cut it in half. Eat it now, and the save some for a snack later. The egg the ham and the cheese in between are pretty generous, so every bit feels like they didn't skimp on any ingredient. Superb product that I would definitely eat again in the near future.The staff is really nice and always present to take care of you. The place isn't exactly super new and super posh. But then again, I'm from the NYC area, so that doesn't bother me none. What's important to me is the service and the food. The church we attend ordered donuts from here today. They are delicious! Better than Dunkin and Tim Hortons. It's a locally owned business and not a franchise. I tried both the apple pie and chocolate, glazed varieties. I wonder what else they make.

The BEST donuts I've ever had. Not just in the downriver area but EVERYONE! Make sure you come early because the donuts are always fresh! The service is quick. Like every other donut shop it's on the small side but don't make that stop you from dropping in.

New owners took over and the quality has gone in the trash. They have less varied and the taste is yucky.

I love supporting small businesses. Huge coffee for little to nothing compared to other coffee shops. They don't have the fufu coffees, just basic drip brewed coffee. He made my coffee to my liking. He asked me to taste it before I left to ensure it was good. I ordered half a dozen of a variety of donuts. This will be my new go to spot while in Detroit for the football season.

The best donuts downriver, or pretty much anywhere. Tim Hortons, Duncan Donuts - they only wish they could be this good. The only reason to go somewhere else is that Yum Yum has sold out. Which they do, and then they close for the day.Pretty traditional donuts, with both cake and raised. Plus fritters as big as your head, or normal human sized fritters. They do have ice cream, coffee, etc, but I have never tried any of them, BECAUSE DONUTS Bring cash, but you dont need very much.The greater detroit area has a few must try places - this is one of them

Stopped by on my way to work today. Service was fast and friendly. The donuts were delicious my coworkers devoured them. Highly recommend.

The best donuts downriver. I've tried them all . These truly are fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. Family run and they have been here forever.

Absolutely amazing! I stayed up until five a.m. just to go get some fresh donuts and I wasn't disappointed! They are the only place around that has my favorite Cherry chip donuts anymore. Staff was super nice, even got a few donut holes thrown in to my order of a half dozen. I was pleasantly surprised for the free treat. Best place, clean..what else could you want? Will definitely be returning!
