We visited here for my bestie's birthday in hopes it'd be a nice atmosphere with good food. It was not really either of those things. We visited on a chilly Thursday night. The place is very open with no separation between tables, no privacy, no sound dampening. There are no booths (WHY DID RESTAURANTS GET RID OF BOOTHS?), just lots of four-top tables. There were people at five other tables in the restaurant when we got there and only one waitress. We noticed a shlubby guy hanging around the dining room and in the kitchen all night, but he never once helped the waitress with tables, so I'm not sure if he was just a friend of someone working or a very lazy owner/manager. He looked bad for business, though. Especially when the poor waitress was stretched so thin.It took a while for us to get drinks after ordering (and none of us had alcohol.) Since we were catching up, it wasn't that big of a deal, but it set the pace for the entire night. The guys ordered the Shrimp Danielle ($14) appetizer to split. Jacob got the Cuban ($14), bestie got the lamb chops ($32) and I ordered the salmon ($23). The salmon comes honey-glazed according to the menu but I asked for garlic butter instead. The shrimp appetizer was pathetic, not gonna lie here. It was five tiny shrimps served in a creamy sauce sprinkled with pomegranate seeds with some pita triangles on the side. The size of the shrimps was laughable, especially when you compare the price/portion of this app to the Cuban my husband ordered (which was huge and stacked). And it's not like the shrimp were fresh - they were definitely frozen bois. Anyway, the guys seemed to like it even though they wish they had more to share while waiting for food.Food took a while but I am almost positive there was only one person in the kitchen. Bestie and I got soup and salad. I watched the waitress put the soup into the microwave and take it out less than a minute later - needless to say, it was served to me very cold. It had good flavor, so I took it home and reheated it for leftovers. But come on, soup needs at least like three minutes to heat up. Salad was good, no complaints there.Entrees were delivered as ordered. My salmon was cooked perfectly with a lil garlic, butter and some lemon on the side. The mashed potatoes were very good, though I dressed it up with a little sour cream when I ate my leftovers. My husband immediately stole the cauliflower on my plate. Bestie was a little turned off by the lamb chops... he thought maybe the meat was bad. It was served with a very pungent balsamic glaze. I don't like balsamic but tried the meat, and it was very tender and good; it was just the balsamic that ruined the dish. It's too acidic and not balanced properly. My husband enjoyed his Cuban and especially the thin fries that came with it.Overall, food was good, not great. Prices were fine, except for the appetizer. Service really needs to be kicked up a notch. Our server never came back to the table after our food was dropped off and we had to eye-dagger her to get the bill. We were looking for a special place to celebrate my friend's birthday dinner and this just wasn't it. It's a generic place to get a decent meal with lackluster service.

Stopped in for dinner. Mussel appetizer was decent; good flavor but some off tasting ones. Overall, pretty good. I had the Ahi Tuna seared rare. Very good and would order again. My wife ordered the chef's board which is their version of a charcuterie board. It was different. Large chucks of cheese and ham, some dates, pepperocini, cashews and some crueton-esk bread. It was ok...the ham and cheese cut so large it was odd. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Solid 4 stars.

A couple friends and I dined here to celebrate a birthday. There was some sort of festival going on in the parking lot and the band was so loud, and soundproofing not so great inside the bistro, so it was very difficult to carry on a conversation. I've heard from others that it's pretty noisy inside the bistro anyway (even without the outdoor band). Service was VERY slow. We weren't in a hurry by any means, but our server complained to us that they were under staffed with servers. There were several servers and a food runner, and the other servers didn't have a hard time keeping up with their tables. Multiple times we had to ask for more water (we asked other servers who had the water pitcher when they were near if they could fill us up). We even asked for a second round of drinks twice. Our server was so slow, in fact, another three top were seated after us (with a different server) received their appetizer and salads before we even had our drinks or were able to place our order. They were done with their meal when we received our soup and salads. For the food... we had the vegan potstickers for an appetizer. They were prepared well with a sweet and spicy chutney. We each ordered a cocktail and they were all crafted and had a good balance of sweetness to alcohol. I had chicken Parmesan soup and it was 5 star worthy! For our main courses, there was a salmon special with a blackberry sauce, chicken picante (only because they were out of scallops), and tenderloins medallions. Everything was flavorful and prepared properly. Bottom line: You can't go wrong with the food. The atmosphere and the service leave a little something to be desired.

I love visiting here when I come to town! The city always has so much going on, with new restaurants and bars popping up, I'm glad to see this place is still going strong. I went twice in one week recently: once during happy hour, and once in the evening - both times were great! The staff is super friendly in greeting you, and while we weren't able to get bar seating both times, they happily sat us at a table in the evening, without a reservation, knowing we were only getting drinks and appetizers. They have specials in the evening and they've been great every time I've tried them! I really enjoy the deals for happy hour drinks, and I feel that the overall prices for cocktails/beers outside of that time are super reasonable. Some of my favorite menu items recently were the onion rings, fried cauliflower bites, and the Shrimp Danielle. Honestly, the sauce alone with the shrimp is something I could literally eat on a flip flop. I've been to a bunch of the restaurants in the area and will always come back here. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items on my next visit!

I've noticed some new spots opening up in the Wyandotte strip. One of them is this guy right here. Out with the old and in with the new I guess. The name of the spot is a play in words of the city which is in. I think its pretty clever is you ask me.Anyways, we came to drink and try it out since we've heard so much about this place. I do like the decor,, really nice and minimal. Plus the ambiance is really pretty serene. Music was good too,, not too loud and definitely conducive to conversations and such. Wine list was pretty good. It wasn't overwhelming either. The servers were pretty good to suggest the popular wines. They'll let you sample the wine as well so you wouldn't have to waste your money on a pour.Anyways,, I like it here. It's a nice place to hang out have a talk and wait for the crew to assemble. Plus I'm sure you won't find any girls with "just turned 21" tiaras on, or the equally annoying bros saying "YEAH!" followed by high fives. And for that,, Wine Dotte is very cool on my list.Thank you for reading my review, I hope this helps. Enjoy your wonderful yelptastic day!!

Unwine in Wyandotte at Wine Dotte Bistro. One of the few places, maybe the only place, with a view of the river. There is a sweet patio out back or front (depends on how you look at it). The interior is sleek, sexy, light and cozy at the same time. I like it! I also like a deal because I'm on the poor side. On wine Wednesday you can grab a glass of some thing white or red for $3!! Now that I can afford:). My pal Jay likes the lamb says they're full of flavor. So there you go. Wine Dotte Bistro is my go to down river. Great date day destination. Turn on some tunes, take a short drive with the one you love to down town Wyandotte.

Great addition to downtown Wyandotte with great food and food prices. They have a growing wine list with an upscale look in decor but open to all and very casual.I am a fan of their lamp chop entree and their salmon. All entrees come with soup or salad and your choice of a starch (Fries, sweet, mashed, baked) and veggie of the day. I love their soup and highly recommend the stuffed pepper soup if its the soup of the day. They also have a "hot rock" option which is the same concept as the restaurant Black Rock. This option is where you cook your choice of protein just the way you like it on a hot rock. This option also come with soup/salad and your potato choice and veggie. This is a classier joint that anyone can enjoy, even basic eaters because they also have on their every day dinner menu sandwiches and a build your own pasta.

I've been to Wine Dotte a couple times now, and have been impressed both times. We had fabulous service, delicious food, and there's a great atmosphere that's conducive to just sitting and chatting over dinner. I ordered the "Hot Rock" filet, and loved it. Quality piece of meat, delicious buttery zip sauce and side dishes, and cooking your own steak on the hot rock was a fun experience! The anticipation is increased because of the amazing smell, the sizzle of the steak, and the fun of doing it yourself! I also have to mention the decor inside - super classy and beautiful, and unlike almost anything else downriver. If I could fit those wall pieces in my house, I totally would - gorgeous decor. And being on the back side of the downtown drag, it's quieter than a lot of the other restaurants downtown Wyandotte. I highly recommend this restaurant all the time; it's perfect for a date night or a girl's night out!
