Wigleys Corned Beef Store

This is a not so hidden gem but if you don't know about it , your missing out. Located in the eastern market area, the weekends are often bustling with people from all over the world. The service is nice and fast and there are plenty of seats. The food was delicious. Fresh and hot. Definitely a go to spot.

Great selection of meat. They make great corn beef sandwiches. They have been around for years. Location is near eastern market. Customer service is always good.

I am a non-native, although I have lived in and around metro Detroit for 30 years now. My wife's family use to shop here for corned beef since they carried them in a brine barrel! This is the only place to get such uniquely good corned beef that I have found not just here in Michigan but in the country. Look carefully and you'll see many more restraints carrying it by name. Going to Wigley's is an event and we now have breakfast or lunch while there. Always the first stop, and then on to other shops at Eastern Market.

Generally I have good expectations and the employees that assist you in picking a cornbeef, the bad part is the lady on the register older woman has a NASTY ATTITUDE who literally drop my loose change in my hand as if she didnt want to touch me which the change felll on the countertop and she picked it up and DID it again so My husband was waiting in the car who stated I should have gotten a refund but I left with the product I am a African American who has been buying here for well over ten years my family and friends I seeeee a LOT of business from African Americans not to say other ethnicities shop here as well but allllll I ever see is African Americans so maybe you might want to treat us alll the same my money is the same color as everybody else if you dont want to touch my money than dont put it in your cash register!
