Stopped in for a late Saturday winter afternoon meal. I was delighted that they had a can of non-alcoholic Labatts beer (yeah: I know I am different). I got the sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked (as usual for this places) to my order. View of the snow covered lake was peaceful: no ice fishing in view at the time but it looked like somebody had cleared out a place to skate near the edge. Service was spectacular. This is a consistently great place to eat. Pathetic green beans were delicious and I was happy I deviated from my usual baked potato.

We have eaten twice in July. First time very few patrons and food served quickly. This second time almost tables were full. The staff were working as quickly as possible to accommodate. The food is good for breakfast. Last time order Greek omelet with toast and hash browns. two people could have shared this meal.this time I toned it done and it was just right.Coffee service was not great. But I give a break due to people to staff.Pricing fits in with inflation and being in a lake communityThe environment is clean. Though bowling alley restrooms were not well maintained.

It's hard to get a better view of Whitmore Lake, but this place is only good if your food expectations end with your eyes.I've been here multiple times and tried various dishes to no avail. Really below average food (which is sad because bar food is easy to make) that is priced way too high. If you want a $25-30 meal, Captain Joe's is a skip away for food that is actually worth the price tag.

Love the seat yourself, friendly, excellent fresh hot food & came out super fast. Ordered pecan crusted walleye , side salad and brussels sprouts, all delicious. The view was spectacular; people on the ice ; fishing , kids playing ice hockey, quad pulling a kid around on a sled. If you're on 23, i'd suggest stopping in & eating, it's much more than a Tavern.

It's hit or miss usually just fine. The rib special on Sundays and Mondays is a great deal and damn good ribs. The view is wonderful and the staff is friendly. My favorite item on the menu is the coney pizza give it a try if you like coney's 5 stars just for that. Go ahead give this place a shot support local as much as I can

Best small town tavern ever! Came here for my birthday dinner because they have gluten free options. YES! You heard me right! A small town tavern has gluten free pizzaaaaaa.A Wednesday at 4pm will get you any seat in the house. If they have their outdoor igloos up, make sure you call ahead to reserve one. The ambience is super casual and laid back. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. We have officially found our new pizza joint. They also have great decor that'll continue to catch your eye.

The Whitmore lake tavern is a local classic. They have good prices and great staff. Right across from the lake so you can't beat the view. It can get crowded sometimes but it's worth it. Great pizza.

The Tavern in Whitmore Lake when open is ok. It serves its purpose. The food is OK if you need a quick meal in a nice place. They also have a nice cozy little bar. Very friendly people so come Joe enjoy. Got very limited hours though. Very good in the summertime when the fish are jumping.seafood specials on Friday.

We chose this due to location. Probably not the best criteria! It is truly the only game in town! A local waterfront bar, a little long of tooth with an extremely small (and windy) outdoor patio. The negatives: They charge a fee if you use a credit card, drink refills are not free, the Catsup is not Heinz's, the inside has a musty smell, and the road between the Tavern and the Lake is very busy(and a little loud!) Prices seemed a little high. The pluses: terrific service staff, not crowded when we were there, large parking lot, clean rest room and the food wasn't bad. The Angus burger is just a frozen Patty, but was well cooked, topped with very nice bacon and served in a nice bun. I liked the chips--very crunchy. Companion had the chili--said it was pretty good. Also had fries. They were crispy. Are we dying to go back? Probably not. If we were there and starving, yes. And while you can see the lake view from the patio, it is not that serene or lovely--lots of pontoons and personal watercraft--must be crazy on weekends! But the restaurant did not misrepresent--you can view the lake! The server and service were terrific.

Nice lakefront tavern with an expansive menu. Sure to please everyone's pallet. We sat on the open air patio and found a nice gem to set the mood on our way to Silver Lake sand dunes.
