Fantastic food. and super service. Great ambiance. Margie is the greatest. Try the city chicken and stuffed cabbage.

I'm a fan of Wawel. Their food is homey and comforting. Their prices are reasonable, refreshing in our inflationary times. Food quantity is just right, ample but not overwhelming. The staff is nice.I usually get carry-out from here and it is packaged well. My recent faves are the lightly-breaded Lake Perch with two sides; I get french fries and the cucumber salad, which has a yummy white sauce with dill. However, I also love their pierogi (I have them add caramelized onions). If you are a Polish food fan, there will be a lot here for you.The dine-in experience is enjoyable, too. It's an open, spacious, comfortable room with a relaxing, unpretentious atmosphere.I feel blessed to have Wawel nearby.

Unfortunately I am so disappointed.Viennese Schnitzel was not thin but rubbery and chewy. Cucumber salad was spoiled. I wanted the refund, and I was told, they cannot do it. Bussing tables was terrible. We were sitting there and waitresses were running their own show, not making an eye contact. Our dirty dishes were sitting on the table too long, not being picked up. I complained, but not a remorse or apology but such comment: " But other people like it"...oh gosh! What a behavior!Lots of dishes were fried, just don't bother to go there.

Every time we visit Wawel we leave full, happy, and wanting to come back again. You just feel like you are going to be served good home cooked food upon entering. There are many places in the Metro are serving up Polish cuisine. Some are good and some are just not quite as much. Wawel should be on your stop in to eat and visit list. We have been here many times (Many more than the number of check-ins I have). Each time the food has been excellent. The Dill soup is a great starter. A personal favorite are the potato pancakes. They never taste or feel greasy as they can tend to be at other establishments. The prices are affordable and excellent for the nice portions you receive. For the main entrees your soup is included in the price, which is not always the case at other restaurants. Do take the time to look and walk on the walls and displays for the history on display.

Went inside this last weekend to see what the food was about. Being half polish, I had a craving for some food from the old country. I ordered the Wawel plate with kopytka, meatballs, breaded cutlet and mash with gravy. Was NOT disappointed. My wife got the petition assortment and was delighted to see they included the sweet cheese pierogis as well. This is a place where you would want to take your grandmother, or your wife to a nice, home-cooked meal.

Still amazing food! The service this time was a bit slow, but it was worth it for the food.Noah was an amazing server! This was my first experience with Polish food and it won't be my last! Everything was delicious! I got the combination plate for a taste of everything and it was worth it!

Adjacent to a ballroom in the American Polish Center is a charming and unpretentious restaurant with authentic Polish dishes. The decor is comfortable and the staff is outstanding.The food is filling. I had beets, sauerkraut, veal schnitzel and cabbage soup. A polish stout was delicious and so was the eclair I had for dinner. My wife had a combination plate and enjoyed it all. We licked our plates when no one was watching.

An update to the online prices being lower than actual menu price - They did fix that, so that's a good thing.

The Polish meal was very delicious and service outstanding! I highly recommend Wawel Restaurant!
