Washington's Gourmet Cheesecakes

Called to get 20 assortment of cheesecake cupcakes, each are $3.25 a piece. Order was placed 18 days ahead of the party. I got lucky that he answered after several rings in, especially since there was no answer the first time. There is no longer a store front shop in Southfield. Orders via text message. Payment upon delivery of the order. Ok. I ordered a total of 20 cupcake cheesecakes. 4 key lime, 4 strawberry swirl, 4 cookies and cream, 4 raspberry and 4 caramel pecan. Delivery is just over 2.5 weeks away. I thought it really convenient that the owner is able to make the cheesecake in cupcake forms, which makes it infinitely easier to share and eat for work team members for a party. After a major snafu with the order mixup the day of (the owner forgot about the order :( ) the owner did end up running out small samplings for my party a half hour after it had started, which I at least appreciated, since half of the celebration party's focus was about the guest of honor wanting some keylime cheesecake. We weren't able to get the keylime cheesecake the day of the party since the owner had none made for the day of the party. The owner did say he was planning to drop it off the Monday after to bring it by for my employee. That unfortunately never happened and we were never able to get or try the one cheesecake flavor we wanted from the beginning. That was a definite let down. :(My team and all tried each cup and flavor. The cookies and creams was my favorite, the raspberry was next. The caramel pecan was okay. The strawberry swirl wasn't my thing at all. Triple and quadruple check your order and even daily check-up to the day to be doubly sure your order arrives as planned and ordered is all I could advise.

On assignment for Doordash, I came to Mr. Washington's bake shop in Southfield. I quickly found him to be a colorful character with passion and care for making "Da best cheesecakes"His story began when he was married to his 2nd ex-wife, she would brag how her ex-husband made excellent cheesecakes. He told me he had to put a stop to that immediately and prove that he can do better. He did!! And so his journey began.He learned how to make gourmet cheesecakes form a mentor/baker in Jackson Mi and really honed his skills to become one of metro Detroit's best.He is offering his amazing cheesecakes to 4 Meijer Fresh outlets and continues making them for the general public and restaurants across the area.I highly recommend. Very good and fresh ingredients go onto his cakes and I personally had both the caramel apple strudel and the triple chocolate. SOOOOO DELISH!! Let him know you read my review and I am sure he will whip you up something special.

There is one word to describe these cheesecakes OUTSTANDING, DELICIOUS, HOMEMADE, AMAZING DID I MENTION DOWNRIGHT YUMMY TO THE TUMMY. I meet Victor the owner at the Eastern Market and had to try his cheesecake. My husband and I decided to buy the raspberry, key lime and sticky bun. Drum roll please the sticky bun won!!! I thought I was at Cinnabon!!!! The sauce was sticky and buttery with the right amount of nuts and glaze. Please go check him out and tell him Stephanie with the blue dress sent you. NICE MEETING YOU VICTOR AND YOUR STAFF !!!!

Very good cheesecake!!! So many different flavours but we just tried 3; strawberry, original and cherry swirl. I had the cherry squirrel and it is so good! My girlfriend is trying the strawberry and I will update the post after she tries it.But I am sure fits gonna be good as it looks very good and I want to eat it! But first things 1st, as I finish off my cherry swirl! Can't wait visit again soon!!!

I think died and went to Cheesecake Heaven! The BEST cheesecake I have ever had! And I lived in New York City, so I KNOW good cheesecake. $7 will get you a small, round dessert about 6" in diameter. I got a bunch of different flavors for a family get together: Cherry, Strawberry, Caramel Swirl (my personal favorite) Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream, Turtle, Key Lime, and Strawberry-Banana. my little nieces and my 96 year old mother loved it, and all of us in between. The Owner/Baker is a lovely man named Victor and he even made a Gluten-free TripleChocolate cheesecake upon special request! He hand delivered them, as a special favor since the cheesecakes weren't going to be ready until later in the day. You just don't find Customer Service like this anymore.He said you can put themIn your freezer and take themOut 6-7 hours before serving and they'llBe perfect temperature. This is a small business trying to get up in running during a Global Pandemic. His Cheesecakes will make you forget all your troubles, at least for a few minutes. The sign on his window says "International Bakery" but hopefully he'll change it soon and attract more Cheesecake fans. I am so happy I stumbled upon this hidden gem. I can't believe nobody has reviewed this place yet. Let's get the word out folks, and keep his doors open and his oven baking these little delicacies!!!

His cheesecakes are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've tried the Turtle and the Carmel Pecan ones and I was floored! You know when you do a little dance while eating the food is fire!!! But you just have to try it for yourself!!!! ‍

Absolutely the best cheesecake around! I ran across this gem at the Eastern Market last week. MUST TRY!!! You will not be disappointed!

I found this place looking for a bakery. I ended up getting a cinnabun cheesecake and a sweet potato cake. This enormous cheesecake is incredible. There is no way a human can eat one of these in a sitting, my wife and I both ate from it for 3 days. I think there's still a corner left in the fridge. I highly recommend it.

The best cheesecake I've had - hands down. Picked a few up in Eastern Market this last weekend and I need more already! We had caramel pecan, lemon crunch, chocolate crunch, and caramel swirl. I can't wait to try the rest and these again.Need to know how to order and in larger sizes! Thank you!

Victor does an amazing business! He has tons of flavors of cheesecake to choose from and a wide variety of sizes. The bakery is sort of tucked into the strip mall (there's a building that can't be seen as well from Greenfield) and it's unit number 10 (currently called Gold's International Bakery). He's also often working at Eastern Market downtown on Saturdays and Sundays.These cheesecakes are so amazing! My husband found Washington's for my birthday and we came back for my mom's birthday a month later. We've done the medium personal ones each time because you get two nice sized portions from them. It's fun to get different flavors for each person!I cannot say enough about how delicious these cheesecakes are! Victor is the sweetest person and super easy to work with. 10/10 would recommend - without question!
