How haven't I reviewed this place yet? I've been steady eddy with my girl Voyager for a min now. She's as steady as she goes, man, consistently amazing. Man I love my girl Voyager. The vibes? Intimate comma friendly. Happy hour? Elite two-buck-shucks and the most wonderful filet-o-fish this side of Ronald McDonald. Many a night cracking crab legs and throwin down shots. Get the chowder. Get the hush puppers. I love love this place.

We walked into Voyager on a Saturday night without a reservation and every staff member we encountered was so incredibly kind to us. There weren't any tables available, but the hostess took down my number and gave us an estimated wait time for each dining area (outside, dining room, or bar). She gave us a menu in case we wanted to order drinks while we waited. The Crystalline and zero proof/non-alcoholic Side Eye were both great! Everyone was super laid back, but still very professional, and took such good care of us--especially Dan. We ended up getting seats at the bar and enjoyed every single dish. Dan took note of my gluten-free restriction and guided us through our choices: West Coast (Washington) Oysters, Yellowfin Tuna Tartare (toast on the side for my boyfriend), Charred Radicchio and Turnip Salad (one of the best salads I've ever had and will be thinking about this and all future summers), Pan-seared Yelloweye Rockfish special, and the Chocolate-coconut Pot de Crème to finish. I'm looking forward to visiting more often for the 2-Buck-Shuck Happy Hour and other dinner specials this summer!

This restaurant belongs on a small quiet beach somewhere. Happy I found it! It's a cute very small restaurant, and staff gets around quickly with no issues. They all seem to work well together. The host and waiter were in great spirits, and was happy to take care of me. Nothing like great service! All the food was fresh and great tasting! Especially the crab dip

Highly recommend making a reservation to get into this restaurant. We booked Friday night and it did not disappoint. We started with the fall salad and oyster mushrooms which were served with a delicious sweet and tanging sauce. The special was lobster linguine and it was served with large chunks of lobster. We also had the scallops which melted in your mouth. We also opted for a brownie dessert which had whipped cream piled on top. I would recommend everything on the menu. Inside is a quaint place that is very comfortable. Our server gave us great recommendations and was attentive.

Me and my mom went to Voyager for their all night happy hour. I made reservations to sit at the bar so it took them about 10 minutes to seat us. When we did sit down everyone was immediately attentive and kind. Happy hour was $2 oysters so we ordered probably about 2 dozen over the course of the night. They had 3 different kinds and they were all very good. I ordered the fish filet sandwich which is only offered during happy hour and it is much more superior to the fish filet sandwich from a certain fast food chain. The restaurant itself is pretty small so I probably will only return when my party is 4 or less but I will be back nonetheless. They have a patio too that will add a few seat when it's warm out. 5 stars!

I haven't been to voyager in years, but it did not disappoint! It was just as good as it was the first time I had it, if not better. The dishes are a little on the pricy side, but for the quality of the food, it goes hand in hand, so I can't complain. These are the best oyster deals I've seen. $2 happy hour oysters. Need I say more? The service was amazing as well. Servers were so kind and attentive. The atmosphere is so quaint. It's a smaller business, but everything from the service to the food is top notch. I would go here numerous times in a week if I wasn't ballin on a budget lol. This food was the kind of food that you would want to close your eyes while eating to savor every bite, I had a friend with me.. so I definitely didn't want to be rude! Lol the oysters were shucked well, no sandy or shelly texture, the oysters were easily eaten. The house fettuccine was delicious! The lobster rolls were melt in your mouth and the lobster to roll ratio was perfect. I ordered the hot lobster roll and the bread was toasted and garlic buttered, prime time! It even came with an unexpected salt and vinegar chips which was an icing on top. The clam chowder was delicious as well. I didn't have a dish that I have not liked yet. I'm looking forward to coming back.

If you asked me where to get the best seafood, the best service, and just have an all-out 5-star meal experience in the Detroit a metro area, my answer would always be Voyager. They have a great happy hour, to start. And sometimes you can catch an extra special happy hour with 6 oysters for $6 and that is my actual love language. The menu rotates enough so that there is always variety, but some mainstays so you know what to expect. Everything always tastes fresh, and the food is just prepared really well re: seasoning, temperature, plating. It's a little pricey, bc seafood, but I think it's absolutely worth it. Definitely try to visit at least once in the summer as they also have a great little patio for dining al fresco.

If you're not actively seeking out this place, you might miss it! Voyager is a small spot nestled in a neighborhood, but don't let its size fool you. The cozy atmosphere adds to the overall experience. And a tip for parking: head over to the corner of the CVS parking lot and walk across the street to the restaurant! One thing that really stands out about Voyager is the staff. They're always ready to answer any questions you may have about the menu. Speaking of the menu, they offer a wide variety of seafood options. Personally, I love their oysters and mussels (I just looked at the menu and don't know if they still have the mussels). However, when it comes to the drinks, while they do get creative, I must admit they don't quite hit the mark in terms of taste in my opinion. All in all, I seriously love this place. It's a great restaurant just a little out of the downtown Ferndale area

All I can say is WOW! My husband and I have been coming here for years and we never have something to complain about! The food is always on point and the service is even better. We love the specials that come out weekly and always try to get something new while we are there. Ambiance is very cool. We have never had something here we didn't like and cannot wait to come back every time we leave!
