Vegano Italiano

We stopped by this food truck while out shopping in A2. So glad we did, we're not vegan, more flexitarian. We ordered the gnocchi and it was the most pillowy and delicious gnocchi I've ever eaten. The bowl $13 which at first I thought was a bit pricey however the portion size is very generous and fed me and my wife. The picture is what was left after both of us were full. Next time, I'm in A2 I'll be coming back to try their other menu items! A must try!!!

I am, unfortunately, lactose-intolerant. This isn't something I've dealt with my entire life; only since around 30 years old. That was 10 years ago. I have found plenty of good ice cream. Some pizza places will do feta or goat cheese on pizza which is pretty good. If I buy aged cow's milk cheese (more than a year) I'm fine, but it is expensive. And while I'm pretty damn good in the kitchen, making dairy free Italian can be a pain in the ass. During art fair a couple weeks back, I stopped by the truck and had the Arancini and a stuffed noodle dish and it was OUTSTANDING!!! Could not tell it was vegan, which is the point. It was rich, full of flavor, and hearty. Some of the greatest qualities that Italian cuisine encompasses. Thanks for a great experience!

I had a chance to try them during this year's VegFest in Detroit. We had their meatballs with marinara sauce and some baguette. Meatballs were made from impossible meat. Overall the food was good but nothing that I couldn't cook at home. Me and my husband spent many years in Italy and I cook a lot of Italian food at home so maybe this is the reason I wasn't much impressed. The flavors were very good but again, I felt like I made it by myself. No extra wow or anything. Maybe I should try something else next time.

I love this place. The food is excellent! I love their pasta sauce! Their stuffed meatballs are so good! Their gnocchi with their sauce is so good as well (the meal last till the next day as well). I also tried their tiramisu. That was also really good as well!

Tonight we got carryout for the second time. This place is amazing!The menu is full of great options, all vegan, some gluten free available. There are appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and desserts (many of which are supplied by Botanical Bakeshop).We have tried the fried meatball appetizer, the pizza zeppole, the meatball sub, and two of the specialty pizzas. All of it has been phenomenal. The prices may seem high but the portions and the food flavors more than make up for it.Currently they don't offer online ordering so getting through on the phone can be tough, but otherwise we have nothing to complain about. Already planning another visit.By the way, they have their own parking lot so easy to get to.

Tried their food for the first time at Festa Italiana in Sterling Heights, absolutely delicious! I hope their food truck comes around my area more often because it is wonderful. I had half of a meatball sub, soooo good! The red sauce was amazing. If I had extra money I would tried more but I was super satisfied.

I had been dying to try this place and finally got the opportunity. Even though the order took a long time, the food was so spectacular that I gave 5 stars. I think it took close to 2 hours to get our food, but to their credit, they let us know that they were short 1cook and that our order would be delayed. We decided that it would be worth the wait, and we made a wise decision! The building is very tiny and the waiting area has a few chairs and wonderful health oriented books and reading materials. We ordered: cauliflower wings, pizza #7 and pasta a la Addie. The wings were cauliflower dipped In chickpea batter, rolled in house- made breadcrumbs, fried and covered in Buffalo sauce and served with ranch. Outstanding.Much better than any chicken wings I have had. The pizza was well embellished with: house- made red sauce, meatballs, mozzarella, ricotta and fresh basil and oregano. It was fab. The crust was a perfect blend of soft and slightly crisp. The toppings were perfectly matched, and the violife cheese was well melted. The pasta was penne with peas and mushrooms adorned with spicy pink vodka sauce, topped with mozzarella and fresh basil. The portion was huge and amazing. It was filling without the usual heaviness of such a dish. My date is definitely not a vegan and absolutely relished every bite. I will return soon, as I'm already planning my next indulgences.

So happy to have a vegan pizza option right in Ypsi! They were out of a few of the main things I was hoping to try, but that must mean that they're good :) everything else that we ordered was excellent. I loved the white sauce pizza with broccoli, but the pesto pizza and meatballs were delicious as well. So nice that they offer a half and half option to allow you to try some of everything! I will definitely be back. Looking forward to trying some of the sandwiches!

My friends and I, vegans and meat eaters, have ordered from here 3 times now and we've loved everything we've tried. 8 people and every one of us were thrilled with our food. Like, talk-about-it-for-days thrilled. That just doesn't happen. The portions are huge. The pasta entrees will feed 2-3 people. The eggplant is amazing, the meatballs are the best I've ever had, and the tzatziki fries are ridiculously good. I can't praise this place enough! Soooo happy this place exists!!!
