Uptown Parthenon

Delicious. I had the Jimmys salad which is a Greek salad with dill. Very good dressing and homemade bread was served with it. Also the chicken meat balls are very good. I will have to go back and try more on their menu. Great service. Nice ambiance.

Pretty frequent customer here but think this is my first review. Normally a fan but dinner last night fell short a bit. I have enjoyed one of their "specialties" previously (vegatarian moussaka) but it wasn't as good as it usually is last night. Can't put my finger on it but it has a flavor it normally does not have that I didn't care for. Also, the lemon rice soup was unusually salty last night. (Chef, please ease up on the salt). Portions are always generous there and the service is always friendly and excellent. If you enjoy Greek food, Uptown is worth a visit. P.S. salads are always good here.

Server was busy but adequate. Restaurant wasn't too crowded for a Sunday lunch. Food was okay.

Dined here tonight with large group. They do have a problem with early evening sun that blinds you despite blinds that reduce the glare. Service was great and so was food. We shared fire sausage, fire cheese, hummus and salad for appetizers. All very good. My main was the steak kabobs and was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

The interior renovations are striking. However, everything is wood, vinyl, etc.; there is nothing to reduce the noise level and it was very noisy, especially in the main dining room. We relocated to the bar area which was better but still noisy. We had excellent service from Theodoros, a long term server.Our group of five had different opinions on the food. Three people ordered Greek; two really enjoyed their food and the other said it was the worst Greek food he had ever had. I had the vegetable stir fry. It was excellent and I would order it again. There was a nice variety of fresh vegetables and a great sauce over rice.The wine selection is very poor. They do not offer any medium or higher end wines. The corkage charge for bringing your own bottle is $30.

My family made the mistake of not planning ahead and instead, we found ourselves seeking a restaurant that could accommodate a party of six at prime time (7:30ish) on a recent Saturday night...Uptown Parthenon was our fifth or sixth attempt and we were pleased when they told us to come on in. It was clear when we arrived, however, that they were very understaffed. We waited a good 20 minutes before getting acknowledged and another 10 or so before getting seated. Once we sat down, however, we went to the bar to order some drinks, which we needed after that wait ;). Dino was our server and worked his ass off to make sure to get our order in -- we did wait awhile, but the wait was worth it. The food was as good as we remembered it being from years ago.Our party enjoyed the saganaki, fried calamari, and cold artichoke appetizers to start. Entrees included several Jimmy's Salads, Gyro, Moussaka and more. Portion sizes are large and pricing is reasonable. Needless to say, we left with very full bellies. We will definitely return, and hopefully by then, they will be fully staffed!

Today was 'a red letter day' for me. I ate 'my first gyro sandwich EVER!' I'm from Phoenix & visiting family and would definitely recommend. I ate the whole thing!!! . My husband LOVES a good gyro & has tried to get me to try one for 40 years! Today, he carried out from here. The bag of gyros smelled so good as my husband brought the bag into the house!!! The food was hot & delicious and 'Oh so Good!' We will definitely be back!

I ordered their chicken lemonato on takeout. The food was delicious!I appreciate the extra effort they put into bagging a takeout order. The individual containers were closed and then wrapped with clear plastic food wrap so the containers couldn't pop open during transport back home. Another good point about this experience was the portion size. It was pretty big. I was able to create a meal for a second day. I'll definitely go back and visit this place again the future!

The food was great . It was hot and the service was outstanding. I recommend Uptown Parthenon for a delicious meal. The ambiance is also very nice.

This place has been around a long time. Saganaki is always the best from here. I love their gyro meat + tzatziki sauce! Opa!
