Uptown Barbecue

I'm so glad I had stumbled across this hidden gem!!! **Carry out only**The neighborhood has seen better days but I can it's trying to be revive there's literally construction going on everywhere!!! When I pulled into the parking lot I smelled the bbq before I even got out the car!!! We decided on the chicken & rib w/ 2 sides me being a fat ass was undecided so I got 4 sides I just like to taste everything lol Let me tell you that Mac & cheese is freaking crack!!! I never had Mac that made you wanna smack the your own momma!!! Literally If I knew I wasn't gonna be able to make it back before I left I woulda order a tray!!! Hands down the best Mac I'm telling you I'm a Mac & cheese connoisseur lol baked beans so good greens bussing (bussing means really good lol) the yams were decent the peach cobbler was more of a soup like consistency good I warm it up thinking it get firm but didn't... sad but still good considering!!! I'm still craving that mac and cheese!!!!

This was a horrible experience I've never received food that look like this something needs to be done this food has out for at least a day and re heated smh for the amount you pay for a meal which is 27 dollars you expect the food to be fresh smh the only good was the customer service when I ordered when I called back to complain about my food I could not get anybody to answer the phone smh nobody should go save your money run away far away from this place unless you wanna get sick stay away shame on u uptown bbq giving bbq and chicken a bad name please don't waste your money here

The food is amazing when you catch them on the right days Service is pretty decent at times depending on how the cashier feels at the moment. This is a spot I have been going to for years i'm 25 now I was in middle school when my grandad was getting ribs from here.

Ordered from Uptown BBQ, prices are pretty steep.my order came to $58 including the tip for GrubHub driver. Food was delivered in a timely fashion but didn't have everything I ordered. So I called to see if I could come pick up my missing item. But before I could finish talking the woman who answered the phone cut me off in mid sentence. Telling me to contact GrubHub for refund. I thought that RUDE to treat a customer that just spent almost $60 of my hard earned $$. It be our ppl that make us patronize other businesses. Sadly they just don't care. Now I got to take my business some place else in the future. And my ribs flavor wise were OK, and they didn't taste like they were smoked. But texture wise they were tough like rubber. 4 down

During this corona virus lock down I'm trying to support business in my immediate neighborhood for food choices.Today's choice is a neighborhood standard UPTOWN!! Known for their ribs and sides but that really isn't my thing.Today I ordered rib tips accompanied by Mac n cheese and turkey dressing with gravy. The rib tips and sauce were on point. Totally hit the spot. Completely as expected. The amount for the price was very nice. Now the sides.... (meh) they were just ok. Mac And cheese was missing that made with love flavor. It was a tad mushy and devoid of my normal Mac flavor. The dressing was better, but I still had to hit the kitchen and add some dashes of seasoning to get it perfect. The rib tips saved the meal and for that they get three stars. If they could just get those sides together......!!

My husband went there to order me a rib tip dinner for lunch. What a disappointment. The rib tips were extremely tough (shoe leather tough) and the Mac and cheese taste starchy. I should have gotten what I know, but instead trying something different.

They're busy all the time but the staff is always pleasant and efficient. It's takeout only and I recommend calling in your order to save waiting time. The ribs and sauce are outstanding. The sauce is sweet and tangy but not too much of either. The ribs are meaty and not overcooked. Best baked beans I've ever had and there's so much meat in the greens there a meal themselves.

I ordered through Uber Eats...it was delicious!!! I ordered the rib tips and when i say tender and i do mean everyone they should be proud!!!

Food is Always good, love the people, great location, support our black businesses... Neighborhood BBQ StopLiterally, just wanted to give a good review because they deserve it. People are ignorant of how you may put a local business on its back with personal BS. This place is great and has been in our neighborhood for Years!!! support not stomp um geesh My people My people......

I should have just called up there to complain, but I didn't. I went there on Friday and bought real tip dinner. The real tips were so tough. I couldn't even eat them and I have all of my teeth. Everything else was good the barbecue fries and the coleslaw. I don't know what has changed with them especially on a Friday but I'm a little surprised I still have love for them, but this is gonna make me change what I order.
