Universal Coney Island

Is there anything else on the menu besides corned beef? Prob so but that's the only thing I go there for is that. Expensive but worth it.. there's really no fat on the sandwich and it's killing a lot of deli's in that category

My mother is eastside Detroit and I'm west. She always raves on this particular Coney Island and how good their corn beef sandwiches are. It was lunch time and we wanted something filling and quick...Corn beef it is. The food was hot and fresh. Took about 12 minutes and I was out. The cashier was welcoming. The bathroom needs some tending to but I'll be back for another corn beef. It was ALL meat I didn't see one lick of fat.Corn beef sandwich and wing ding lunch special $19 and some change

The service here is absolutely deplorable. The cashier who took my parents order on 9/3/22 around 12:50am was rude and nasty towards them. She lied about a mistake she made on their order. She yelled at my father when he tried to get his order corrected. No one should have to deal with poor service from any establishment at any time. We will not be returning to this establishment is this is the treatment customers will receive. When I find out the cashier's name, I will be posting it so everyone will be aware of the person who disrespected my parents for no reason. Do better!

Typical burger,chicken wing breakfast spot. Haven't had much of the breakfast but fried chicken pita is A-OK! Pretty average prices and the staff is friendly. You may catch a customer that wonders in with a weird look from time to time,but they probably say the same about me.

Best Coney island I have had ever. The James Coney islands in Texas are fakers and frauds. Corned beef sandwiches and the fried mushrooms here are extra

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The lady tried to charge me $9.16 for a grilled chicken pita which was suppose to only be $7.50 and then was extremely rude and just continued to say "that's what it's says on the screen see. See." Instead of answering my question as to why it cost that much. Coney connection close by was SO much better AND cheaper. Don't waste your time at this one.

Cook is horrible.... Food is not cooked properly as of he doesn't care on how to present ppl food.... Do not spend your money here u will be disappointed..

Ordered a simply chicken pita. Lettuce Wilted, no other veggies, loads of cheese, pita bread hard and the chicken is simply not seasoned and super dry chicken breast! Why not use a mix of chicken breast and thighs? This used to be the go to spot weekly but they have definitely fallen off I don't think I'm going to return

(On behalf of Margie): I wish I could leave a review without having to leave a rating because this deserves ZERO stars.This was THE ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had and I am a longtime customer! The drive-thru cashier was very rude and she is this way everytime I encounter her. I asked for the bread on my corned beef sandwiches to be toasted (almost $50 for three sandwiches). They were barely toasted. When I asked for them to be corrected, she told me that it is the way they have always grilled the sandwiches. As I stated before, I have been going to this establishment for YEARS, back when the sandwiches were only $5 (the cooks that I normally encounter were not there today and they usually make my food the way that I request) and that is not true. I also asked for no pickles (as they alter the taste of my food). Another cashier smacked her lips and rudely replied, "Ok, YOU can take them out!!!" After they refused to correct my order, I was then told that I had to move out of the drive-thru line because they had customers waiting to be served behind me. Mind you, I was still waiting to be properly served at that point. The cashier then offered me a refund and asked for the food back because she was becoming increasingly impatient about the long line behind my vehicle. You just lost a loyal, longtime customer!!!! P.S. She also did not give me my correct change!!! I will take my business elsewhere.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Waited in line for 45 min just for food was cooked in old grease. No flavor at all. Ordered a cheeseburger and received a hamburger smashed
