Union General

I was pleasantly surprised at this little shop. We had some time to waste since we ordered food to go next door and checked this spot out. I even found some mens skin care in here that I usually find at 1 store only. I would have bought some but I already bought some the other day. Their snacks look delicious!

We hopped inside here when waiting for our to-go order from the restaurant next door (before indoor dining was allowed) They have so much to offer in such a small space! The employees (owner?) was so incredibly kind. She really seems to love her job and value her customers.This would be a great place to go to get unique gifts for many people, including children. The delicacies made and sold her were a real treat!

Super cute store on one side and bakery shop on the left side when you enter the door up the walk. One door to enter and the street facing door is for exiting. Lots of wonderful candles, lotions, soaps, random gifts and kiddy winged tutus and soft plushy baby toys. It's a hodge pudge of curiosity items for all of the senses. It's small and quaint and only 6 parties people are allowed. One group at a time inside. Had to wait for two groups ahead to get in and out.

This place has been around forever. Always busy and crowded. Like the ever changing specials. Great beer menu too. For those who like Mac n cheese, it's a must! Only negative is that's it's really loud in there and you smell when you leave due to open kitchen. Like seriously, need to shower when you get home!

Union General is right by the Union Bar and Grill so it was the perfect place for dessert. It's connected to the cutest little shop so I spent a good amount of time here. I got the nitrogen ice cream, birthday cake macaroon, and the funfetti cupcake. The desserts were perfect and I enjoyed every bite! There was a big selection of desserts, such as ice cream, coffee, cupcakes, etc. There isn't a lot of room to sit, but it wasn't busy so that wasn't a problem. Next time I go to the Bar and Grill I will definitely stop by for desserts too!

This place has really awesome cupcakes. Actually the best! They are very heavy for being a cupcake. Super cute store right next to the Clarkston Union Bar with its world famous Mac n cheese. In 2015 USA Today voted it top ten in America. They have served over a million orders of just mac n cheese. This is the little general store and bakery that is right next door.

Excuse me whilst I slap myself in the face a few times. Blink. Blink. No, it's true! There's a cupcakery in the middle of nowheresville Michigan. After a depressing drive by several dilapidated buildings this Main Street attraction in Clarkston with it's cheerful brick exterior made me literally stop in my tracks.I went inside not expecting much of the Mid-Mich establishment but lo and behold cute chalkboard signs and boutique gifts galore. I walked right up to a smiling face and ordered the Raspberry beret in vanilla to go.In it went in it's little Chinese take out box. 10 minutes later I cracked it open to taste a spoonful. Cream cheese frosting and thick almost chewy slightly sweet cake was in my mouth. Hmmm not bad. So I take another bite. And another. What is this center of raspberry cheesecake flavored goodness? Is that the frosting?? Like a cupcake monster I devoured this fabulous little cake. If only I wasn't 50+ miles away from here I'd get at least 5 lbs fatter on these.P.S. There's ice cream too!

Love the atmosphere. Cozy and a bit loud. I had the salmon on special with the sun-dried tomato risotto and grilled squash. Topped with pesto, the fish was good. The risotto was amazing! The squash, not so much. Thin and barely cooked. It was still cold and not seasoned. My friends had a taste of the Mac and cheese and said it was delicious. One of my friends had the Cuban and said it was good. The other had the beef tips and loved it. I'd love to see more GF and DF items. There really were only two choices on the menu for me. If you're not limited and don't worry about calories, this is your place!

Five star bar. Stephanie is the best bar tender in Clarkston never disappointed. Love the beer food and service. GIVE STEPHANIE A RAISE
