New owner thus a new review :)As a person who's familiar with middle eastern dishes, authentic home-made taste, and quality meats, this place is the best around the city. The food is delicious and has many bold flavors that I crave. I always get the beef kafta kabob. Their chicken tawook skewers with big pieces of white meat, are delicious as well. In addition, they offer chicken cream chop and many fresh middle eastern salads. Whenever I stop by, I grab the tasty treat of Turshee (pickled yellow cabbage with pickled red turnips). The owners are so pleasant and have great customer service skills. They value their customers and provide clean and quality food for people to enjoy. Prices are reasonable, especially around the city of Troy. They have many other items on the menu, however, I always tend to go for my favorite ones.

I have to give any place a try if I see my favorite chicken kafta on the menu. They had me at chicken kafta. It's a small place. It's a mom and pop shop. There ate 4 tables total inside. Mostly a carry out crowd here. We were the only ones inside during the hour. It felt a bit like we were being watched and observed the entire meal, since we were the only ones.We ordered the chicken shawarma with hummus instead of rice, a chicken kafta with hummus instead of rice, a small fattoush and a large fattoush salads without pita. Both dinners come with lentil soup. The salad was refreshing and flavorful. I liked the dressing. More lettuce and less cucumber would have been better for me. Still quite enjoyable. The pickled veggies were so yummy. Nicely pickling and seasoning to it. Not too tart and super flavorful. Owners are both friendly, attentive and accommodating too. Their kids are in the shop hanging out. The chicken shawarma meat was a bit dry. The owner said it was dry since it was the inside and end of one shawarma on the spit. They change it every 4 hours or so. The chicken shawarma had nice flavor to it. The chicken kafta meat was moist and pretty good, flavors were quite subtle. Both meats were good with their garlic sauce and hummus. Their hummus is so smooth. Service and food were both pretty good.

I love this place and go there very often. The owners are a sweet and friendly couple who will always greet you with a smile, and their food portions are quite large and somehow inexpensive compared to other Arab restaurants in the area. I'd recommend their wraps (I love the chicken cream chop and the chicken shawarma), or their platters (beef kofta, lamb kabob, chicken cream chop), or literally anything else on their menu, all worth a try

Very tasty and you can't beat the $4.99 Tuesday and Wednesday special: today my boyfriend and I got takeout, and $4.99 gets you a chicken shawarma sandwich, fries, and a can of soda. My boyfriend got the beef shawarma sandwich special for $5.99. Thanks to Susan M. for the heads up on the special! They have a small seating area but we did takeout due to coronavirus. They make everything fresh to order, as another reviewer noted, and they had beef and chicken roasting on the spits when we walked in. You get to choose a can of soda from the fridge, I got a Sunkist and my boyfriend got Pepsi.Overall you can't beat this deal, and the sandwich was super delicious to boot; it reminded me of La Saj's, down the street. I definitely will be back at some point on a Tuesday or Wednesday sometime to get more shawarma.

Had a falafel sandwich and a bowl of lentil soup. Both were excellent. It was a takeout order that was ready in only 10 minutes. I'll be back soon!

It was fine. Not great, not bad. There was a deal for $3.50 to make it a "combo", basically a can of pop and fries. So that seemed like a fair deal - they were a little skimpy on the fries. The food was a mixed bag. The chicken nuggets and fries were $16 (!!!) but there were a lot of nuggets. The hummus was just okay, not a lot of flavor. Lots of onions on the kafta - my husband got an extra sandwich for lunch the next day, but was afraid to take it because it was so onion-y.The falafel was good and so was the baba. I'd go back but it was expensive unless you stick to the basic wraps.

Got the 2 person platter. Lots of food and very tasty! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. It's very simple inside and I assume most orders are for take away.

I took a few photos for Doordash of some menu items. Owner seemed pleasant and the restaurant was clean.I purchased the chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, pickles/turnips and fattoush salad. All dishes were tasty. Garlic sauce was exceptional. Great value too! I recommend.

Small nice place in a little strip mall by Little Ceasars pizza. All homemade food made daily. Great menu with many options for everyone including vegan. Unique kabab and shawarma sandwiches. Very tasty and filling. Tasty smooth hummus and hand made stuffed grape leaves were generously filled. The falafel were soft and fluffy. They have Tues and Wed lunch specials too. Best to call ahead for your order. As they make and cook all the food fresh to order, it might be better calling and ordering ahead of time so it's ready when you get there if you are on a hurry. Very nice service and people are very friendly and happy to meet all requests.
