this place goes! i came down here to play some pinball at Offworld and was completely caught off guard by the fact it's a side room connected to one hell of a gem in Eastern Market. not only is the ambiance pretty great, they have a seasonal menu for drinks and eats. i wound up getting three different drinks that were strong and presented beautifully. the vegan fish sandwich was pretty excellent, as the pickled veg and slaw on it was great. the "fish" itself was just a pair of gardein fishless filets which on one hand was disappointing, but very few places move enough product to warrant making a banana blossom filet or something like that. adding $3 to my order got me a solid serving of fries that come with a fairly unique seasoning to them. old bay? seasoning salt? either way, they were salty, crispy, and delicious. overall, good on offworld and tocororo for coming together like this. since scout's closure in ferndale, it looks like this will be my new regular pinballcade and boozery.

ToCorro is a fantastic spot if you're craving fresh, flavorful Mexican food with a modern twist. The menu is packed with delicious options, from tacos to burritos, and everything feels super fresh and well-prepared. The standout for me is definitely the tacos--soft corn tortillas loaded with juicy meat options (the carnitas and barbacoa are top-tier), and the salsas are packed with flavor without being overly spicy.The service and the ambience is great! It has fun board games and I enjoy the vibe. Everyone is friendly and will come back.Tip: you order at the bar and around the corner there is an arcade!

We only got a drink as we were pressed for time but the service was excellent and we enjoyed our drinks!It's a fun atmosphere with a bar with 2 TVs (one was playing Bob Ross & the other was playing PawsTV) and has tables in a pretty nice space. There are a ton of board games that you can grab and play. Tocororo is also connected to an arcade place next door.Tocororo is located right next to Thomas Magee (Eastern Market is close by but this is located on the other side of I-75, on the service drive). There is free street parking along the service drive (at least, we didn't see any signs like parking Zone signs). We definitely have to come back to try the food as it smelled SO good - Indian and curry spices YUM!! If the food is as amazing as the smells, this place is 5-stars for sure!Yay for a new place to visit!

So I had not ate all day and was having a hard time deciding what to eat. So by the time I sat and got my food I took no pictures lol I will be back and make a new review with pictures. I got the buffalo curry legs, applewood bacon burger, and seasoned fries. I just ate my leftover at home. Everything re-warmed in the oven perfectly. Service was phenomenal and you order at the bar. I believe the chef brought the food too! Ambiance was just good vibes and even better food. I will be back! This is new go to place for a great burger and chicken!

After a fun mug making event at Dtown Vinyl my friends and I came to Tocororo for food and drinks. You order at the bar and they bring your food to the table. They are a rum bar and have a ton of rum options. I will be back to try the rum drinks. I had been drinking tequila earlier so I wanted to stay with that. They only have 3 types of tequila but made me a quick drink. My friends ordered the jerk chicken chowder and said it was delicious. I got there late so it was sold out before I could order. I got the bacon jam burger with fries. The burger was juicy and well seasoned. The fries are also seasoned. They have recently added a small arcade behind the bar that has vintage pinball games. Most of the games are .75-$1 each. They also have board and card games that you can take to your table to play with your group. I will definitely be back.

My favorite place. The jamican chowder is the best soup I've had in life. The burgers top 5 in the city, hands down. They just added an arcade so ne prepared to have fun. Low-key, laid back, and just a vibe. I probably go here 2 or 3 times a month. And never disappointed.

This place was recommended to us and did not disappoint. It's super cute and has a pinball arcade attached. The food is delicious, I highly recommend trying the curry fries and drumsticks. The service is great and the food comes out fast!

KETO FRIENDLY *** food GREAT, service GREAT, ambiance chill and fun. I came here after work one night, my second visit. First visit I had no food restrictions, this time I came and I'm Keto and really trying to eliminate sugar. I got the jerk chicken chowder, there are white carrots instead of potatoes!!! So good, get TWO. I ordered a burger no bun, fries chips etc ... chef brings it out with extra veggies, pickles and onions chopped up so I can actually enjoy it. I know this is a great place bc the energy was the same the first time I came. THIS is hospitality. Bartender/server Connor is always working the room like a pro even filling up waters when there is a water station available. Also, they have these cool chicken thighs and legs on the menu so if you're keto you can actually eat , watch the sauce tho. ;)

Found this place on a fluke and loved it. The address on E Fisher Fwy threw me, but it is between Thomas Magee's and the meat market over the bridge and to the south of the main Eastern Market.Owners Connor and David are entire operation, with Connor on the drinks side and David working the food. We started with cherry bbq chips and chervre cheese and moved on to burgers and fries. Both burgers were delicious and loved the buffalo curry fries.I thought the ambiance was perfect, laid back, nice background music, anduted TV's playing pet video station and Bob Ross ;). I was impressed that Connor and Davidade a point of calling us by name - I guess you're only a stranger once!I can see that stopping in for drinks and/or food to or from an event would be ideal. Great find!

We came for dinner on a Sunday night around 7:30, excited to try it for the first time. There didn't seem to be dedicated staff to greet or seat you, so after getting the bartender's attention, we were told to sit wherever. We sat at a table and after a bit the bartender came by with menus. After figuring out our drink and dinner orders, we waited about 15 minutes before going up to ask the bartender if we ordered from him or if someone would be around. He said he's be over and about 15 minutes later, he was. We started to feel like we were an inconvenience, which was later reinforced when I asked for a knife to cut the burgers in half and literally received an eye roll. The food was good, but in no way made up for the unwelcoming atmosphere. I'm glad others had a more positive experience here, but there are too many great places in Detroit for us to return to someplace we didn't love.
