Toarmina's Pizza

Okay - I know it's a chain establishment but I've heard such great things that I thought we'd give it a try. Kept it simple and ordered a large pepperoni. It was disappointing. We got there just as they were pulling it out of the oven and by the time we got it home (less than 5 minutes) it was cool enough to eat. The cheese was melted sure but had already hardened and what little sauce there was tasted flavorless. The dough had a nice fermented taste but overall I can't give it a higher rating - not when pizza is available on every corner.

Toarmina's was the home of the 24 inch pizza and we've had a few over the years, but not recently. The pizza place we were going to go to was closed on Monday, so as we drove by Toarmina's we decided to give it a try. We ordered a 16 inch special with cheese and two items along with cheese bread a 2 liter pop for just under $20. When we got home and tried it we were pleasantly surprised to have an excellent Peperoni and Bacon Pizza with lots of toppings and a good covering of cheese. I notice a "big Cheese" 24 inch special that comes with 1 pound of peperoni and 3 lbs. of cheese that might just have our name on it real soon! 3 stars and I'll be back...

I just picked up a BLT Pizza from Taormina's Pizza on South Wayne Road. There is virtually no bacon on the pizza whatsoever. Also hidden under the lettuce and tomato was completely burnt cheese and a burnt crust. I immediately called the store and ask to speak to the manager or owner. In the background I heard the owner or manager yell I'm not effing talking to anybody. I told the girl on the phone my problem and she had nothing to say to me. For a $22 order this is what I got. Everybody should think twice before ordering from this place.

Nice, hot, cheesy pizza. Their specials (buy the pizza and sometimes they have a coupon for free cheese bread and pop) are great. Right next door to Mickey's Dairy Twist. We recently moved into the area and this location obviously has a deal with the post office to send a free pizza coupon for all new residents, and we decided to take them up on their offer last night. I am trying to eat low carb so my wife got a free medium pepperoni mushroom pizza, i got the boneless wings with some low carb ketchup from my fridge and a garden salad to split. The price was reasonable, about 7 bucks for the wings and 5 bucks for the salad, along with the free pizza. We were surprised at how good it was! The wings themselves were copious in quantity and obviously deep fried, but they were juicy and tender chicken bites that was well worth the price tag. They were MUCH better than Jet's boneless wings AND a dollar cheaper for MORE meat. Let's just say I have a new favorite pizza place. The salad was pretty typical, but the lettuce, cheese and olives were pretty fresh for a pizza place salad. And the pizza, while not extraordinary, it was well prepared, had plenty of cheese, and the crust was chewy/crispy enough just like the wifey liked. Overall, this may become our new go to pizza place as the jets around us are farther away and the hungry howie's isn't that impressive. Of course the side bonus for my wife is that the Mickey's next door is already open, so she can get her soft serve when the weather heats up! Definitely will come back again.

Ordered a pizza today from jimmy. Was fabulous just the right amount of sauce to complement the cheese. Workers were all smiling and just a pleasure to deal with. Had a real second family friendly of environment. Will definitely be back again. Best pizza around.

If you have a lot of people to feed their pizzas are HUGE! I love their meat lovers pizza, they're very generous with the toppings and have excellent crust. Since I've moved here this has been my favorite pizza place by far. The cheesy bread is pretty good also.

Wow, ok, first the All Meat Pizza, was excellent. Under a new manager, but the food. I have eaten many pizza's in the area, and when you have them in your car, smells LIKE CARDBOARD. The aroma from this pizza was excellent. Nicely loaded. A little more expensive but worth it. The person in the store told me she had just taken over. The only downside is you have to pay in store, no pay in advance option. I recommend them and will use them for my family for now on.

This place SUCKS!!! Our pizza was ordered at 5:37pm and delivered at 9:20pm. No discount. WRONG PIZZA!!!! Can I give them a .001 star?!?We called them 7 times asking when our pizza would arrive and they finally said that our pizza was in the oven at 8:30pm!!! The manager couldn't care Less that our food was 3hrs late!!! Crystal (the manager) blamed us for the HUGE delay. Saying that we should have called her after an hour!!! We were very patient for the first TWO HOURS... this is the WORST service I've ever had at a restaurant. EVER!!! None of us 5 people will EVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

Was a loyal regular customer for 3 years but will never be back ever again. A night worker, possibly a manager who said his name is Leery went on a verbal rant against me for pickup up my order from the lobby with my dog (ESA) by my side not doing anything but standing by my side. This caught me completely off guard as my ESA accompanies often and has never been treated as unwelcomed. He yelled from the back as we were leaving that he shouldn't be allowed in anywhere or even outside or at neighboring businesses and added that we stank up the entire lobby because it was raining outside and we were a little wet from walking up there in the rain. Frankly, I felt belittled and traumatized by this unprovoked event. I tried reaching out to the owner who has always been friendly and personable to us but after a week of no response from the owner via email or phone call...I feel my patronizing of this business over more than 3 years was not at all appreciated. We will never be back and neither will my work use this business for parties for our students and communities, nor will any of my friends and neighbors. So sad one person can be so insensitive and treat a person so badly that they will never be back.
