Tipsy Fish

Formerly Smokie's on the Water. Tipsy Fish just opened! My husband and I flew here for the day and walked from the airport. It's about 1.5 mile walk on the water. There is an option to walk in the middle of the island with a sidewalk too. We selected that option for our walk back.The location is great. It's good for the golfers and any visitors on Grosse Ile. Causal vibe and everyone is so friendly. There will be alcohol, but their liquor license is being finalized by mid-June 2024. We were able to sit anyone. We opted for outside to enjoy the Michigan summer. Our waitress, Mary, was so nice and attentive. We started off with mocktails and ice tea. For lunch, we ordered the prime rib melt, the Buffalo chicken salad, and the fish tacos. The Buffalo chicken salad comes with grilled or fried chicken. The fish tacos come with perch, cod, or shrimp. Plus, you can select if you want them grilled or fried. The food was great! I really enjoyed my prime rib melt with grilled mushrooms and onions. You have the choice of a wasabi or garlic aioli. I went with garlic. Yum! After lunch, we walked back towards the airport to the Gilbrator Bay Alpaca Farm. Grosse Ile is a fun day trip especially with good food spots and fun activities on this cute little island.

Our waitress,Donna was patient and very nice.The food and drinks were great. We will be back.

We had a great breakfast on Sunday morning. The food was yummy and the service was great. They even made us a fresh pot of decaf.

Wow best fish tacos I've had in a while. Service was perfect and great beer selection. Margaritas looked really good.

Visited last night. Liquor license secured, so it was a good time to visit before heading to the Trenton Street Fair. Great atmosphere in this redesigned location, plenty of water views while sitting at the bar. Wait staff was attentive, cod fish taco was done to perfection, patty melt was good and the beer was cold. What more to ask for.... We will be back. And a welcome new location for casual dining on the island....

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Sometimes a bit slow, but I know hard it is to get servers.

Food is mediocre and very pricy. Disappointed for sure. We need more restaurants on caliber of Sibley's. So far this restaurant is not making the grade.

Outstanding food; great choices that are wonderfully and quickly prepared. Service was very friendly and relaxing.I highly recommend you give it a try.

Our daughter came to visit for few hours today. We went to Tipsy Fish for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. Big improvement. Service was great. Soup was excellent we had 3 different all were excellent. Serving was generous and well prepared. I will be back.

Ate there last night and had lamb chops that were absolutely terrific after devouring a cup of their delicious French onion soup. Even the baked potato baked with salt on the skin and something else was great. A boring baked potato magically outstanding .We will be eating from their specials menu often.Dave
