The Well

So just to be 100% honest, the well is definitely a dive bar. So you basically get what you get when you come here. It has decent music so don't get it twisted, it has plenty of space, they're not a lot of seats though so you'll be standing around most likely. But is a dive bar vibe. Don't expect fancy martinis or anything like that. They always have specials though. So if you can't get your Tito's lemon drop, you can get two for five beers or something LOL. The service is what you would expect from a busy location. I mean, it's pretty much nothing but bar so with only like two bartenders you got to wait at the end of the day. So just be conscientious of that and give it Grace because you are getting a service that you expect to come to contact with while you walk into a dive bar. I've been going there for years. Well before I moved, it is a staple and I feel like it's never going to die. It is always consistent and it'll give you exactly what you need. It's really good for pre-drinking because of drinks are fairly cheap, so keep that in mind. If you do go, you might want to go ahead and consider parking. Parking is going to be street parking because there's no lot specifically for this establishment. But there is plenty of parking in after a certain time in Detroit it's going to be free. If you are going to go ahead and do the well, it's best to go ahead and start the night with that so you don't have to worry about too many expensive drinks your at your actual location. And then after that You may want to consider finishing the night there. After you've had all the fancy dinners and stuff, if you want to go ahead and wrap up the night with a couple of cheap drinks, this is the place for you.

The well is literally the perfect name for this place I have gone here a handful of times over the last decade.. its a very simple bar but its downtown. Parking can be tricky but drink are fair price vibe is awesome and its basically a rectangle shaped bar with a handful of seats and alot of standing room. its pretty small but its a neat place and a staple of the city i feel like service has always been good when i was there no complaints there.

This is a quintessential Detroit bar. Great place to hit in your way to either. Detroit Tiger game or. Detroit Lions game. About a 10 -15 minute walk to either venue.Cold beer ( at a 1/3 if the cost the stadium concessions charge)and we'll drinks along with bartenders that know their craft.

We have been to the Well quite a few times over the years. It's a fun dive bar. We usually come after a Lions or Tigers game. Cheap basic drinks. No thrills. It can get very very busy so you need to keep that in mind if you like to social distance. This is not a place where you can. I have never eaten here so I can't comment on the food. Just cheap drinks for the win.

BUTTTTT they don't have limes. I would love some limes. By the way Jacky was amazingggg

I came to get drunk the other day and i wake up the next morning to find out they charged my card an extra 24 for no reason i would not recommend this place

Great bar in downtown. I would say it is divey, but also a cool laid back place. We hung out at the bar the entire night and the bartender was a lot of fun. Good banter back and forth. The drinks were good and it didn't seem that expensive. If I ever get back to Detroit, I will definitely Be back.

I came on a hot day just to get a cool drink ( a holiday beverage)and I was not disappointed. It was strong and cheap! Oh and i got to keep the cute cup it came in!

Hii there! The well is such a cool laidback bar! The vibes are everything! Jackie the bartender was amazinggggg! BUT why do you guys not have lines, lemons, or rims? Like a bar should have at least lemme or limes!
