The Taco Stand took over what used to be BYOB (build your own burrito), and at first, we were really sad because we loved BYOB like family. Then we tried the tacos and quesadillas at the Taco Stand and we weren't so sad any more. I had never tried el Pastor (pork) tacos and let me tell you how delicious this meat is... so much flavor and the bits of pineapple are *chefs kiss. The service is great, we've never had a problem with the order or the food. It's not a sit down restaurant, but it's always clean and the food comes out fast. I highly recommend the taco stand.

I don't understand why people like this place. It's been there for years. I stopped there every couple months to see if it's gotten any better and it just absolutely sucks.!! food is super bland and there's nothing good about any of it!! they're so many better places that serve Mexican food around here!!

The food is always good, we know this, but can I just take a second to give the owners high praise? My husband's birthday is on the 4th of July, so planning a party every year can be a challenge since so many places are closed.This year, he requested a taco bar with "really good chips and salsa" and we immediately thought of Taco Stand.I called to place the order for pickup on the 3rd so it was as close to the party at possible and paid over the phone. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up with the holiday hours, I got a call shortly after to see if I could reschedule the pickup for the 2nd since they woukd be closed on the 3rd too. I was bummed, but what are you gonna do? so I said that's fine.Later the same day I got a call from the owner's wife apologizing for the mix up and offering to open up on the 3rd just to prepare my order. When I said that's awesome and mentioned the party was on the 4th, she said the 4th was actually no problem at all!They didn't have to go that extra mile, they could have apologized and refunded my order and I would have understood and figured something else out, but this is a level of service that you don't see a lot of nowadays and it made the party extra special knowing everyone was enjoying fresh, delicious food.I'll be choosing this location from now on just because they went out of their way to help me have a less stressful 4th.

Love their Carne Asada Fries! Taste like I'm in California! The Portions is more than enough for the price!

I stopped in here for lunch before heading to the airport. It was relatively early, around 11am, but the place was a whirlwind of activity if the noise of a bustling kitchen and the phone ringing off the hook were any indication.I saw they they offered carna asada fries, which I just had to try. I (foolishly) ordered a large, which ended up being a ton of food. After a short wait, my name was called and I sat down to enjoy my lunch.Sadly, there wasn't much to like about this dish. First, the fries: soggy as could be. Sometimes with dishes like this, the fries can become soggy if left too long as the toppings soak into them. In this case, however, I dug into them immediately and realized that they would have been limp and soggy even if they hadn't been topped with meat, cheese, and everything else. The few fries I tasted by themselves were also bland and desperately needed seasoning.The toppings were also a bit of a mess. The carne asada was chopped into such tiny bits that despite the good amount of meat, it disappeared behind all the other toppings in each bite. The dish could have used more of everything: chipotle sour cream, cheese, and pico. They weren't enough to elevate the dish beyond a mass of soggy, bland fries.Everyone else I was with ordered tacos or quesadillas, which looked excellent and made me wish I had gotten them instead. Prices were very reasonable and service was fast, so I'd definitely try this place again and just order something different next time.

Have always had excellent food and service since this, and their other location, opened. Growing up in sw Detroit, this is on par with their quality of food.HOWEVER for the first time ever I used their "delivery" which is apparent door dash. I have never used them, I don't typically support third party businesses like these. And it was absolutely awful. I specified I wanted the food handed to me but they left it outside for an unknown amount of time. Due to this, the food was absolutely awful. It was three Al pastor tacos and a torta. I ended up throwing most of it away.Idk when I'll order from them again since this left a literal and figurative bad taste in my mouth but I know I will never again in my life order delivery from them. It made me not like the place I've appreciated in the suburbs for years, no matter if it was not "technically" their fault. And I did review the service negatively through door dash.DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THEM

This feels like one of the best kept secrets in the Taylor area. Very flavorful food, and portion sizes are generous for the price. Especially the asada fries, it's enough for multiple meals.Chorizo and campechano are both delicious.

Do not eat here often but when I do it is consistent and flavorful. A bit disappointing to watch one of the cooks exit the bathroom and return to work without washing their hands. Probably won't return.

I haven't been to that place yet, but I know some of the relatives that have a restaurant down on Bagley their cousins or something and their food is wonderful so if there anything like that, they gotta be great
