The Post Bar

Here now. Much needed vibe! Doris approved. Located in The Skip and off Broadway! Street parking or garage.We were greeted right away. Got our drinks right away. The vibe is super causal and everyone seems to be having a wonderful time. Nice additional to the neighborhood,We did order food. Charcuterie board. It's filled but needs work...We had to unwrap the cheese Ritz crackers TriscuitsCold cutsLooks like a charcuterie board was purchased from the grocery store and put on this plate .This is called the "Butchers Block" Do not called it this, & proceed to charge 18 dollars, when it's something I would have made, sitting on my couch, watching Netflix.For 18 dollars I want locally sourced food from eastern market and not cheeses I can buy at Trader Joes. The guacamole is nothing special and needs salt. Not worth it. We haven't been checked on, they aren't busy so we don't matter. Unbeknownst we are locals and good tippers.This needs to be considered with any place downtown. On some nights it will be more local than out of town people. Check on people. We walked here. Anyways all in all. 4.4 star.

New bar & night life spot!!! The Post Bar is owned by the same people who own the location in Plymouth. So far I've been to this bar last Thursday & Sunday (during a Lions game). It's located in the Skip. Was able to get a table before the Lions game but anticipate it getting busier when more people realize it's here. The servers were friendly & the drinks were strong. Did not try any of the food this time only because I came from brunch. *The drinks in my review were from the holiday cocktail list*

Post Bar in the Belt is a great space to grab a cocktail. The drinks are served up with efficiently with a smile from one of the many bartenders. It is refreshing to have such a large space in this area. We went in for one cocktail, but will definitely be back for more because our experience here was so pleasant! Be sure to check out this new location!

Very politely tried getting the attention of an older bartender (bald man in his 40s-50s with tattoos, was dancing a lot while he was in the middle of trying to flirt with a customer and he said "are you with this girl?... no? Then shut the f**k up respectfully" in a normal place of buisness that would be completely unacceptable not sure what makes bartenders think that because they work a night life job that they have the go ahead to tell customers to stfu. Will not be coming back
