The London Chop House

Service was outstanding the entire time. We were greeted by a sharply-dressed and very friendly gentleman at the door. The hostess who escorted us to our table was also very classy, and very welcoming. Our waiter was very professional and helpful in our decision making process. We ordered the steak tartare and Caesar salad as appetizers. For entrees, I ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the 28 day dry-aged ribeye. Everything was excellent. We received new silverware after each course, and our waiter was on top of everything. Dining room is dimly lit, with dark wood and leather booths, giving off a classic steakhouse type of ambiance. A jazz band played throughout our dining experience which was lovely.I had a great time and will return next time I'm in Detroit!

I had dinner here after the car show and was very pleased with the atmosphere (live Jazz), the service (sat at the bar), and the food (filet). Thanks for a pleasant evening. Highly recommend!

Hostess was very friendly and welcoming. I love this place. The atmosphere is amazing! They kept as much original interior and it's beautiful! Our waitress, Lola, is incredible! She made the best recommendations for our meal, she is also so knowledgeable of the restaurant. She made the entire experience here amazing! We ordered, 1) pork belly appetizer- grilled perfect, so delicious! 2) foie gras- omg!! Finally a restaurant that knows how to create this in true French fashion!! It was perfection! Melts in your mouth! 3) ceasar salad - so delicious and fresh! 4) braised short ribs- the most delicious I have ever eaten! They are so rich yet so tender, with the most delicate flavor packed sauce ever! The baby carrots on top were delightful. 5) Aussie wagu sirloin- wow, what a beautiful cut of steak, great generous portion seared and cooked to perfection. The entire experience/ ambience is outstanding here!! The food is outstanding! I loved it here! This will be one of my top favorite restaurants now. I give them 100 stars of if I could !

The food here is AMAZING. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday with a large group and everyone was so nice! My boyfriend and I split the Lamb, which they split in the back for us (love when places offer that) and got a bunch of different sides! We also started with the steak tartare, (it got devoured so quick i couldn't snag a picture) The management was nice and helpful. Drinks were strong but that's never a bad thing. We will definitely be back!

LCH Cigar Bar is a great place to chill out, have a drink, smoke cigars, play pool and more. The LCA cigar bar is a separate venue than the London Chop House restaurant below.The cigar bar is on the second floor and its own display walk in humidor. While the humidor and its contents are fully visible from the car leading to the entrance to the cigar bar, entrance to the humidor is from inside. The decor is cubby and opulent. the bar is fully stocked. The seats are very comfortable. The venue is very spacious. There is a full size Brunswick pool table on site for those who wish to partake. The staff is excellent. I believe that food from the London shop house can be ordered up, but I am not positive.

My wife and I went to the London Chop House for her birthday on 2/22/25. It was our first time there and the food was amazing. I got the Wagyu NY strip, baked potato, and an order of the brussel sprouts. My wife got a lobster tail and an order of the Mac n cheese. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the brussel sprouts were crispy and flavorful. The lobster tail looked amazing and the Mac n cheese was creamy and flavorful. Steve was our waiter and provided excellent service. The ambiance was elegant and there was a live band playing on stage. The music was just loud enough to hear but you could still have a conversation without having to yell across the table. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back in the future.

Great dinning experience. Come Hungary but also know it's very upscale. I like it better than the other upscale steak restaurants in the area!

My wife and I had heard of the London Chop House for many years - yet, felt we needed a special occasion to go there. We went for our anniversary and were very pleased. We got met by a doorman with a vibrant baritone singing voice. We were treated very well by the waitstaff. The steak is probably the best I've ever had. Appetizer choices are top notch. We both got soup and loved it (french onion and seafood bisque). We made reservations for 4:30 and left at 6:30 - having appetizers, soup, main course, and splitting a dessert - and, of course, excellent cocktails. Live music started at 6:00. Expensive. Yet get what you pay for. Has the air of a 1950s top notch restaurant - the kind my grandfather would have done fancy business dinners in.

London Chop House is located in one of the most central locations in Downtown Detroit. A lot of history in this part of town. Enjoyed the whole ambiance and vibe of this spot. Fun introduction from the door man, live music on the piano and a generally welcoming feel. I hope anyone reading this gets the pleasure of dining with Tim. By far some of the best service I've ever had. Knowledgeable, fun, and an all around great time. Not a big steak guy so I opted for a surf & turf in the form of seafood bisque and Braised Short Rib. Everyone else got steaks and they were superb. Perfectly cooked. Can't wait to come back.

This is a place I wish was closer to my home. Unreal food. Great service combined with an incredible classic supper club vibe. I'd be a regular if I was from town.
