The Golden Egg

Pretty great little spot overall. Corned beef on toasted rye was pretty darn tasty. Service was excellent and accommodated my special requests with aplomb ("please toast the rye vs. grilling it", etc.) as well as my super rowdy family!Fries were great. Coffee could use a little help (fairly bland) but was plentiful and hot.

Some of the best home cooking I've had in a while. Excellent service, the wait staff was kind and friendly. Love the old cafe style eatery.

I was waiting for a ride at the Uhaul and no dining area was available anywhere and lo and behold The Golden Egg was open!!!! Awesome food and staff and atmosphere in here while I waited for my ride. I will be coming back!

The food was absolutely delicious. We were fortunate to arrive right when a table emptied. Many people walked in just after and had wait. However, the wait would be worth it. We enjoyed, and I truly mean ENJOYED, breakfast. The service staff was pleasant and efficient. The prices were very reasonable.

This by far has become my favorite place to eat around Ann Arbor. The food is always consistent. The owner cooks himself, & makes sure it's to your liking. Anna is our favorite server. She is always on top of all our needs & works extremely hard. ****sometimes around 10am. The lines are out the door. FYI. Definitely work the wait. Also, portions are generous, prices are low & cinnamon French toast is the bomb!

Exceptional service and food. A place for regular people. The skillets are delicious! A great working class diner.

The food is amazing here. I recommend the lumberjack omelette or a grinder. The Greek chicken dinner is solid as well.

What a great diner. The folks working there are so friendly. The food was delicious. Overall a great place for a nice breakfast, lunch , or dinner. Lots of parking too.
