Very well-prepared peppers! I had the veggie. Only wish that they had table service! But if you desire healthy, homemade food for takeout... it's great.

I pass this place all the time, have family that stays over there--- how did I miss it before?!?So filling, had enough for my kids and leftovers! Will be back ~~~

This is a clean little hole-in-the-wall, carry out only spot on a stretch of E. Warren Avenue where there aren't a plethora of other fresh options. At the Detroit Pepper Company you KNOW the food is fresh -- in part because it can take about 20 minutes for your order -- but the food is definitely worth the wait.I ordered the stuffed pepper with ground turkey and cheddar cheese. It SMELLED amazing, the FLAVOR was amazing, and it was HUGE -- I got two whole meals out of it. I also got the ginger lemonade and sucked it down.My only "gripe" is that i wish you could have the option of ordering your food "for here" so that you could eat it on the picnic table out front on a real plate with real silverware. But that's such a small thing. In general I highly recommend this business.

My only reason for one star is due to the long duration for a take out order. Also, they do not answer the phone. I was told that they only have a few people working but still. I waited over an hour for 2 peppers. It was my first and last visit. Hopefully they've gotten better. I love supporting black owned businesses but I'm also a supporter of improvements. Food was good though. A bit pricey.

The food is great the service is good it may take a few minutes so pack your patience because it's worth it they cook your food fresh to order and everything is delicious

What an AMAZING experience!! I'm so glad my colleague and I had an opportunity to visit The Detroit Pepper Company! First let me just share how adorable the restaurant is setup at entry, very warm and inviting for carry out orders. Secondly the customer service is beyond your expectations. Our Friday, 2/2/24 visit exceeded our expectations. My colleague ordered our carry out, and the young lady there taking orders was just the kindest, nicest and patience young lady. I know she's a blessing to the owner. Once the order is placed, you are informed that they will call you to let you know when it's ready for pick up. Yes, that means you will need to be patience as I know from experience the owner is preparing your meal specially for you with love and boy did he put his foot in our orders! So delicious and authentic! You can taste all the goodness in each bite! Please be patience... if you are in a rush I suggest you go early to place your order remember this not fast food! It is hearty but literally, is amazingly delicious in every lite ! I love the authenticity and the food tastes like it's home cook. Please take the time to visit with the Detroit Pepper Company you will not be disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our carry out, the Detroit Stuffed Pepper w/Ground Turkey and Vegan Mozzarella and the Detroit BBQ Stuffed Pablano peppers and a Mango Tastic and Strawberry Squeeze - I hope that one day they will open other locations at least downtown Detroit will be ideal! Ordered takeout from The Detroit Pepper Company Everything we had was absolutely delicious from the stuffed peppers to the sides They also got a juice bar and plenty of healthy options!We ordered a lot and it took about 45 minutes to wait for, so I would call ahead to order.So much flavor and makes for amazing leftovers. Would order again They are also black and vegan owned with no vegan upcharge (not even for the vegan cheese)!

Walking in they made you feel like family. The owner shared the origin story of how it all got started. The service was A1. NOW for the FOOD.....if y'all don't hurry to this establishment and get you some.
