When I tell you that I frequent this place...it's an understatement. You can always catch me at the congregation in the morning ordering latte. In the afternoons I am back for the barrata or the turkey sandwich. When they have the tomato bisque, I order that as well. (They all know my name and what I order too. Not sure if that's good or bad lol) After work I'm there doing work on the computer ot catching up with friends. During the summer, this place is rocking and I'm always in the mix. Check them out!

Ambiance. Converted cafe from a beautiful, historic church. Many places to sit inside and out -- for larger groups of 8 or just solo diners. Lots of light. The original organ was there, but wonder if it still works? Outside had a patio and huge lawn with chairs that can accommodate events. Seemed like a LOT of students hang out here.Service. Counter service and then they yell your name for pick up. They all seemed nice and hipster.F & B. I had a scone and coffee. Overall, good. They had full bar. There is also a cold reach for lunch items.Loo. Patrons get code from barista. Clean, stocked.Parking. Street. Seemed mostly safe.Overall, very good. Would come back. I hope more businesses get built up around there since this looks like a good anchor business in the neighborhood.

Food:Definitely would recommend trying their wraps and/or sandwiches.-Sandwiches: Tried both the chickpea and beet sandwiches, and they were so incredibly delicious and only $10 each. The whole grain bread they used was perfectly chewy as well. I couldn't believe how good the chickpea sandwich was -- however they made the dressing was phenomenal; the menu said it was balsamic vinaigrette, but I believe there was some fresh dill that completely elevated the taste. -Wrap: We got the Buffalo chickpea wrap ($11, premade grab and go section) warmed up, and again -- simply amazing. -Baked good: The Brookie was soo yummy and vegan; I would have not have been able to tell it is vegan. I really liked it, but it was such a tiny piece for $3.75 that I would hesitate to get it again.Service: Quick and friendly. Ambiance: There's a lot of seats with tables, both inside and at the outdoor patio, as well as some sofas. One of the larger tables has a power strip for your devices. You get free WiFi for 4 hours, and then it kicks you off. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to work there. The music is chill, which creates a conducive atmosphere for both working, but it can get loud as people come in throughout the day. Overall a cute cafe with great food and vibes!

A very cool cafe in a converted church! Super cozy and very high traffic. I was hard-pressed to find a seat at lunchtime on a Friday the week before Thanksgiving. I would love to come back when the weather is nicer so I can sit outside. I got the vegan chickpea salad sandwich which was tasty but a little over-dressed for my taste. I also got the sasparilla shakerato - one of their signature beverages. I had never heard of anything like it so I wanted to try it out. I should have asked more questions because I was surprised to have it served cold and it wasn't what I wanted on such a chilly fall day. It wasn't bad but just not the thing I wanted. I think I would have been happier with the Detroit Fog. I did get a cappuccino to go to make up for it.

Always a lovely time at The Congregation! Came here on a working from home day and found a nice table to post up with my laptop, although many tables do not have outlet access. For food I tried a toasted bagel off the seasonal menu with an iced latte. I was there until around lunchtime and love the environment with many Detroiters coming in for lunch meetings or to work or read as I was. An amazing local hub in the city!

What a great name, it sums it up. A vibrant coffee shop and full service bar in what was once a shell of a church. Beautifully modernized interiors pay homage to architecture of the past. Such original drink choices from bourbon lattes to orange spice tonic drinks. This place is alive with energy and where you want to stay awhile.

After having a displeasurable experience at a nearby cafe, we opted to go here to redeem ourselves. It did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, mimicking the atmosphere. The drinks were delicious. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the beauty of the day.

The inside of this coffee shop is very cute! It's inside of a church type of building and so it is beautiful. It's a great place for studying or getting some coffee with friends. I got the bagel which wasn't my fav, but they have other snack type foods as well. Service is pretty quick.

The space is incredible. Positioned in / near Boston Edison it's a creative and warm space. The activities that are hosted here throughout the year include yoga, the art on the walls is supplied by local artists and is for sale. I really love the creative vibe and can't wait to go back.
