The Circ Bar

Quite easily the best bar/club in Ann Arbor. They have so much to offer, the bartenders are genuinely interested in you if you're not there during mass rush hours, BEST karaoke in town no doubt, with special events going on practically every week. I'll be moving to Grand Rapids soon and will sorely miss this place. Some people say the prices are a little too high, but they have specials almost every day, including 50% off all craft beers during the weekdays. Not to mention the food is top of the line; best food I've had outside of a proper restaurant, for real.If you're looking for an awesome crowd, an awesome venue (CHECK OUT the basement if you get the chance!!), and an amazing staff, then check out Circ. Will be coming back for sure if I'm in the area. Thanks for the good times, guys.

We had a special event at this bar, rented the upper floor, they were incredibly disorganized, the food (bar food, so expectations weren't too high) was really just ok, and the staff were ALL incredibly rude. Luckily enough the party itself was amazing, thanks to the awesome people attending, and throwing the party! Lesson learned, don't have a special event at a college town bar.

I had a really disappointing experience at Circ because of the bouncer who was rude and condescending. I was in town for a business conference and came here for the conference after party. However when entering, I was singled out of our large group when asked to leave my work bag at the door, despite others in line before me and after me being exempt. When I questioned the inconsistency, the bouncer responded with a condescending, "Then don't come in."His unprofessionalism really reflected poorly on Circ's customer service and made me feel unwelcome. It really set a disappointing and awkward tone for the night.

Went here on a Thursday and it was DEAD. Literally maybe 3 other people inside but us. We were led to believe they had a full food menu based on photos online but it's more just snack type food. We split the truffle fries which were amazing. The ranch here is beyond amazing though! Definitely tasted like it was made in house. We had to get/place our order at the bar even though we were seated which was a little odd. Overall, idk if I'd be back.

My boyfriend and I found this spot on Yelp while visiting Ann Arbor recently and wanted to check out the rooftop bar. When we arrived on a Friday around 11 pm, it was hopping! Lots and lots of young people. The bar contains multiple different areas but there was no clear direction on where anything was or directionals to help you get places. We tried to find karaoke but couldn't. We never even ended up on the roof but we grabbed a couple boxtails and sat at a picnic table in the gravel parking lot area where we came in. The boxtails are a fun novelty but at $10 each for a small juice box and liquor shooter, I wouldn't need to order another. I had the lychee and vodka one and Nate got the mango and tequila. They were tasty! I was appalled at the prices at this bar, though -- $7.50 for a Bud Light or a White Claw...!! Can you believe? This is a college town, not New York City. I also noticed right away that they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bill, yet still give an option to add an additional tip. I think this is super shady especially at a bar where people are likely going to be intoxicated and not notice. I didn't see this posted anywhere clearly for guests, so be aware! If you're young and have a lot of money to spend on overpriced drinks, this may be the place for you. I'm not mad we went, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

For $10, a buffet of breakfast foods is hard to beat. There were bagels, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage links, waffles, and... egg rolls. Unexpected, but a nice surprise. There was water, coffee, and orange juice. We enjoyed the breakfast but didn't have time for the drink deals - shots, bloody marys, and pitchers. We may return if we're looking for a Sunday Funday spot or if there's an entertainment attraction.

Great ambience, gorgeous interiors, yummy drinks and food, a great place to be! I love hanging out at The Circ Bar!

Disappointing food and service. The ambiance was hostile. There needs to be marked signage or someone to check IDs at the door. There was none when we walked in so we sat down and decided to order food. One member of our group went to go put in a food order and the bartender (long hair and glasses) was incredibly rude and insisted we should have presented IDs already as it was past 10pm. All of us are 21+. While I understand the policy, they need to have this marked or someone to check IDs at the door, rather than being treated unwelcome. When our food came, the bartender threw it across the table without a word and ran away. To say this was disappointing is an understatement. Maybe the bartender was just having a bad day, but the lack of customer service (given that the bar was empty) does not make me want to come back.
