The Captain's Table

The captains table was the greatest restaurant two years ago. The batter they use for their chicken was always very light and gold. Very crispy. Now every time we order the coating is always very dark filled with old oil taste. I don't know if you guys change your grease very often, but you should.... They have remodel this location like five times so don't have anything bad to say about the inside.

Great place to get some hood chicken, especially if you're feeding a lot of folks unlimited budget and you don't wanna cook it yourself

Okay...WHAT?! I truly thought nothing of this place before trying it for the first time, but everything was SO GOOD and SO ADDICTING that I can't stop thinking about it?? I just wish there was one located closer to me!I got the shrimp combo and some extra strips of fried orange roughy as well. The combo came with sides and I got mac and cheese and garlic bread, and then I added on some corn bread as well. It also came with a drink of my choice and The Captain's Table has all these premade drinks that looked delicious. I got the BLUE one (I don't even remember the name of it), but it was essentially blue raspberry, which is like my favorite flavor, AND IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! It unexpectedly, but also maybe expectedly paired so well with the savory nature of the food and it was absolutely delightful!All the seafood was SO GOOD! The breading was to die for and all the flavors were just popping off on my tongue! The garlic bread and corn bread did not even make it home, I demolished both in the car on my drive back because everything just smelled so delicious! I don't have a single bad thing to say about the food here and I've been trying to get back ever since to place another order, but it's a bit out of the way for me in ways that I never stop by there, so it's been hard. But not for lack of trying okay!!!! The Captain's Table is absolutely delicious and I'm addicted! Everyone try this place already because if you're not, you're sleeping on it!

This place has surprisingly good food in that the flavors are just different and very good in comparison to other restaurants with similar food. I was very satisfied and I will go back!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! I opted for the catfish combo with mac n' cheese. I also got a side of collard greens with corn bread! (Do yourself a dove and be sure to order at least two pieces of cornbread). The restaurant itself was small and quant and location at a busy intersection is not ideal, but I will def be heading back here real soon! Food is 10/10! When it comes to the catfish, most people prefer hot sauce over that other stiff, right?@YelpDetroit@TheCaptainsTable

Super friendly service. Good cod. Would have loved Cole slaw as a side. M&C was okay, but not dreamy.

Eating here for the first time was a great & tasteful experience . The service was also very professional, kind, & inviting . I would certainly return with others so that they can experience the great customer service , food, clean rest room, clean dinning area and be greeted with the beautiful smile of Ayusha, who will take your orders. Wait time is ridiculous. You receive an update indicating your order is ready, and that's a COMPLETE LIE!!!!! Still have to wait for mediocre food. Gave this place multiple chances and it's the same results each time.
