The Annex Detroit

Made a reservation on OpenTable for a birthday. If you mention on the app that it's a birthday, you get free mimosa (peep the receipt)! Dj music is solid. Great service from Moriah. Downsides: the booth table is really low so it's a bit difficult to eat. Food orders were backed up so it took a bit for the food to come.

Terrible! Drove over 30 mins cause i had a blast last time I came to the establishmen. not the case tonight. It was a fucking joke. I walked up to the security i said hi how are ya. First thing out of her mouth was ai couldn't come in due to the shoes I was wearing. Seems like more bc no one where in their dress code list was anything about shoes you couldnt wear. Rude and as I was discussing with her about the dress code. A young arabic boy stepped to me and told me to leave when i was mid chat with the security. I dont know who he is but he needed to fuck off. I fully expect management to reach out. To discuss what happened. As it was complete bullshit.

"The place with the shortest line"- dancing and drinks in Detroit. I would not have stopped here if it wasn't for the fact that I hadn't planned ahead well and everywhere else was extremely busy. We hopped on line (about 15 people waiting), paid the cover ($10 dollars), and were inside before we even knew the name of the club. Overall it was not a great experience. The bartenders were fine, it took quite a while to get a drink, but that is pretty typical for a crowded club. The music was actually really good. They played mainly Latin hits which I enjoyed quite a bit. Other than that though the atmosphere just felt pretty creepy and I definitely will not be returns. Quick note: -They shoot off cannons of cold air/smoke from the ceiling at random points when the beat drops in songs. I was warned by another patron that it is very painful if you are looking in the direction of the cannon when it goes off, which would likely be a very easy thing to do.

We chose Annex for a friends Bachelorette Party this past Saturday and we had amazing service. We had a few VIP tables and bottle service and we were very well taken care of by all of the staff. Special shoutout to Brian Jeffries and Craig Jelenik for making our evening so amazing and fun. We definitely had the red carpet treatment. This was not my first time to Annex, every single time I visit this club, I am always treated like a queen. More people should chose this place to spend their weekends. Plenty of table space, seating, room to dance, and the best part about it was that we didn't have to wait long for drinks. Definitely will be back for our next special event. Thank you again to the amazing staff who took such good care of us!

Overall experience wasn't bad but they charged my card $40 a few days later when I never spent that much there only got 1 drink which was a margarita and was told by a bartender that a 20% tip is already added automatically so I didn't leave anything extra yet I go home and see they added like 30 extra bucks?? Phone number is only for reservations and tried contacting by email 4 days ago and haven't heard anything really disappointed because I thought the place was decent.

Don't go here unless you like a place that's falling apart. The staff sucks. Rude and don't know how to do anything right. $12 for a half shot that tastes watered down... my friend got a table for her birthday and it was impossible to contact anyone. One of the managers was DRUNK when responding and offered us a $900 bottle. We only saw our server once maybe twice in the span of 4 hours that we were there and it was because we had to HUNT her down to even get her attention. Because apparently spending $300 is not enough... staff all had an attitude and their egos are bigger than their ability to get anything right. There was a nail in our booths seat that was sticking out and ripped my boyfriends pants... place was falling apart, nasty, and a horrible environment. Only good thing was the chicken wings... which took about 2 1/2 hours to come out??Go to tin roof. They got egos there but at least they're a better crowd and know what they're doing

If you want the feel like you are a depressed woman look no farther. This is the bar. Men will grab you. There is no TP. And the DJ's are old men pushing buttons for a confused young woman that looks uncomfortable. Yeehaw. AMERICA.

We spent about 20 minutes at the bar to get some drinks and we never had a chance to get anything. The smell of marijuana was up to the roof inside. We decided to leave and asked for a refund for getting in and they said no refund. The charge was $40 per person. What a rip off.

The annex is why I don't go to clubs anymore. I went to the annex for a New Year's Eve party that I had to buy tickets for only to arrive to total chaos. There was no organization, the crowd kept pushing and shoving and the staff did nothing to calm people. Someone who thought they had clout because they had a table was allowed to go in first even though we were waiting and tickets had already been bought. The people that attended were vile. Fights broke out at the end of the night, people were rude and I'm embarrassed by their behavior. The "men" were using profanities to describe women that didn't do anything to thembut be alive. I wouldn't recommend this club to a rat. It was the worst way to bring in the new year and I haven't been to a club since. The staff heard/saw how people were getting treated and they did nothing because they were too worried about money. I want to attend an establishment where everyone can go and have fun and disrespectful people are dealt with accordingly. Worst experience I've ever had.

This is my first time going to the club and I was excited, it was my girlfriend cousins birthday and I wanted to show my support. I get carded at the door and they said your only 20 I can't let you in. I would have had no problem with that but they let a 20 year old female in. I said alright and walked away but then I had an idea to bribe the men. I asked how much does it cost to get in and the white man didn't know, so he asked the black guy... it was 30 dollars, so I asked if I could give him 50 and he let me in.. he said you would need a 100 to get in and another 50 for something else, at that point I was pissed off because not only did they let a girl that's younger than me in, but they wanted a 100+
