Thai King

Five stars for the service. Three for the food. I didn't use atmosphere in the star rating because we did take out. However, I will talk about it.The set up is pretty simple. You order and pay for your food. Then wait at a table to dine in or wait to carry out. My husband and I carried out. It was late at night and the time it took for our food to be made was very fast. There was a table of 2 in the dining room. The dining room looked a lot like a typical Subway restaurant dining room with the particle board booths. What I saw of the place looked clean.The service impressed me. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. We ordered Pad Thai and crab ragoon. My husband and I both enjoy spicy dishes so we were excited to go to a place where the reviews warned that they took spice seriously. The woman who took our order explained the spice levels. Warned us that their mild was pretty spicy. We explained that we normally order extra spicy at other restaurants. She helped us pick the spice level of medium. In the most polite way possible, refused to let us go beyond that level. (I'm glad she did). While we waited for our order, the cook came out and verified that we for sure wanted medium. After some convincing, he went back and made it for us. I was very impressed with the spice verification process. I know they were doing a cya but the way they handled it was polite and professional and made me feel cared for.As for the food itself, it was fresh looking and tasting. The crab ragoon was pretty good. Less breading and more filling than your typical order elsewhere. The dipping sauce that went with it was pretty unique also. I'd order that again. The reason I gave three stars for the food was the Pad Thai. It was spicy. The exact level I expected and craved. However, I could not taste much else. It was not the Pad Thai flavor I am used to. This version tasted oily and spicy and that is it. The noodles were the only thing I could taste. I guess in summary, the sauce needed more flavor.I'll be back. Their menu had some pretty interesting items on it.

Favorite restaurant. Loved food and never complained but can't order from them because they blocked my number !!Walked into store and the guy laughed and did nothing . Guess I have to find another new favorite lunch place . I am really upset bc it's my favorite restaurant

This place has renamed themselves to pho king. This is the most terrible food I have ever had. The rice was burned, the soup was not edible, and the eggrolls were so greasy the eggrolls were dripping. On the flipside, the crab Rangoon was dried out. We spent over $70 and no one ate their food. In fact, my nephew brought food home from a deli. The deli was amazing by the way (front page). We called and spoke to someone at the Thai restaurant and she said she would refund our money. When we went back to get the money, she could not figure out how to make the credit card machine work and gave us only $45 in cash. Save yourself money time and an upset stomach and don't go here.

The Food they make not the same exact first they open. I ordered Vegetable fried rice adding TOFU well done Completely my order missing the vegetable.This my second order doing mistake when I called them they said that's how are usually we do it but I've been there over a year and a customer I think the people over there the night the same was before.

Friendly atmosphere with mom and pop feels. Our meal was savory and hit the spot. We ordered the hot and sour soup, Thai wings, spring rolls and gang gai curry with chicken.

I LOVE it here i really do, one day after the movies me & my girlfriend decided to stop here, the food was GREAT. Have you ever seen that movie ratatouille? When ego tasted all the delicious flavors brought him back to when mommy made it. SOOOO GOOD

This was a nice little surprise to find today - mixed reviews but it sounds like there may have a few turn overs in ownership? Not sure. That said, my colleague and I enjoyed a nice lunch. The curries had big flavor and honestly quite tasty as well. Very glad we stumbled in here today. The service was also well worth noting - she was slammed but didn't miss a beat!! Bookmarked this puppy!

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE THEY SHUT DOWN AND MOVED TO? this was my favorite spot in the city and I pulled up it's not there anymore I almost cried. Please. If u moved tell us where !

This restaurant is now called Pho King and If I could give this place a negative rating I would. One star is being too generous. Upon walking in last night we noticed the floors were sticky, sat our table which was also sticky. Felt a couple other tables since all were empty and all were sticky. Put our infant in the high chair with a cover and used baby wipes to clean the table. No matter how hard I scrubbed the stickiness wouldn't go away but rather, black dirt covered all of the baby wipes. Ended up using our son's blanket as a table cloth, which was then tossed in the trash on our way out.I didn't eat but my husband took a bite of his pho and said it was less than appetizing. We ended up paying the bill, over $40, and leaving. We told the woman working the table was sticky and showed her the baby wipes to which she flippantly replied, sorry, and walked away. It was as if she knew the table and floors were dirty.Highly suggest you go elsewhere than this dump. If the outside dining area, what is visible to customers, is this dirty I don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like.

Outstanding food, good service. It's a hidden gem for Thai food, whether you want rice or noodles, you'll be satisfied! It's my go to Thai place!
