Still looking for that go to Thai in Rochester area. I had high hopes after hearing a couple people talk highly about their experience here. Unfortunately for me and my daughter we had our go to place, but it closed, out in Romeo that we would drive to and compare everything to that. I tried the Hawaiian Fried Rice which I found to have a Smokey taste and was surprised it came with fried chicken vs grilled. The breading became soft and I believe would be better grilled. Also seemed to be missing a good seasoning or flavor vs flavorful Thai seasoning. Portion was huge and appreciated that but it was just missing something flavor wise to satisfy me as a great Thai dish. My daughter is used to getting a sweet and sour type chicken we have found at a few places with a stickier sauce and typically fried chicken chunks in sauce with white rice. This one was made with grilled chicken and swimming in a sauce that was more like a soup than sauce which she drained most of this to enjoy better. Came with numerous vegetables which she enjoyed but again seemed to be lacking flavor and was a bit bland. The crab Rangoon's we both loved, Crispy and full of cream cheese and crab. The spring roll was a bit too greasy for my liking. Our search goes on and this may be a good fit for you but didn't hit it for us.

Authentic Siam, the old name of Thailand. Finished my foods and nothing left for to go. Highly recommended and felt like you already went to Bangkok at least.

This was our top Thai takeout before we moved out of Rochester Hills. So when possible I'll pickup dinner when I can.Recently I picked up two entrees (Garlic noodles with chicken and Curry noodles) along with Tom Yum soup.A stark reminder just how good the Thai Inn food is. Their portion size is the best you'll find among Thai restaurants. Chef-owner "Sue" does not disappoint.

They are open until 8:30pm for dine-in today.It's in a shopping plaza. It's short staff. We seated ourselves. Mostly carry out orders coming through. We were given some attention after some more folks picked up there food orders. Ordered curry noodle with chicken and steamed tofu and added veggies and chicken lemongrass, steamed tofu with added mushrooms and two fresh chicken summer rolls. The fresh summer roll was just ok. The peanut sauce is quite sweet, tasted like a honey peanut sauce or something like it. Would have been better with some crunchy romaine and maybe some mint and jalapeños too. The lemongrass sauce is quite odd, can't decide if I like it or not. The chicken isn't super lean, fatty bits throughout. Not sure the green beans do it for me in this dish.The curry noodle is so-so. The noodles are thick like drunken noodle thick. The curry noodle veggies are green pepper and peas, rather odd. Nice and spicy at least. The veggie selection of their dishes are a bit strange to me.

So I really hate to give a small business a bad review, but I just through out the majority of the dinner, which is a huge waste of 50 bucks, so I feel that I need to let everyone know how bad the food is. We ordered sweet-and-sour chicken, sesame chicken and six egg rolls. The sesame chicken was so over cooked!!! It was like a little hard little nuggets. The flavor of the sauce was good, but I had to throw the chicken out because it was inedible. The egg rolls were just cabbage filled-no flavor no little pieces of bean sprouts in shrimp in anything to make a tasty and the sweet-and-sour chicken was more like sweet and sour soup... a big bowl of slob. I will never go there again. Do not recommend!!!

I've been coming here for about a year and it's consistently good . The best crab Rangoon! The chicken always taste fresh . The fried rice and pad Thai are both awesome.

I don't even know where to start regarding the extremely poor customer service that I received. The food was just ok, but the attitude of our server really created a not so pleasant experience. I called in to place an order but decided to dine in. The server pointed to the only table without a table cloth that was visibly dirty and insisted that this "was the only table available". Even after she saw me grabbing my hand wipes to wipe down the table she sat back and said nothing. I wasn't disrespectful and made sure to thank her and she wouldn't even respond, not even with a smile. Everyone else was greeted and waited on hand and foot. Unfortunately, due to me already placing my order I decided to just pay and leave .

Ordered pad Thai and miso soup. The pad Thai was very dry and bland. It was missing green onion and a wedge of lime, which was severely needed. The miso soup was also pretty blah, I could tell it had been put in a microwave to heat up, as there was a ring of foam dried around the edge. service was slow being we were the only people in there.

It was by chance I found them for a carry out.In business for over 30 years hidden in the corner of a strip center. I found my forever Thai local restaurant because they made a quick impression on so many levels of service and quality.I'm restricted for what I can eat currently and they not only brought it out for me to taste first before they wrapped it to carry out, they told me they use no sugar or msg to insure my concerns. I think they treat everyone like family and you can tell all the customers feel right at home. One customer called the wife "mom" as she was waiting on their table. I look forward to being a loyal customer for my Thai!

Thai Inn is one of those wonderful staples that you can always depend on. Great food and there are always leftovers to take home. One meal is actually the size of two or three. The leftovers taste just as good if not better the next day.
