My thoughts: This is a traditional classic all America restaurant that is been around the Detroit MI area through out the up and down of the economy. And any restaurant can survive the harsh business world is A OK in my book. Plus they do serve good comfort food and maintain a reasonable price. The hospitality to an out of state American like myself is priceless. Will visit this spot every time I come back to Detroit.Here is my scoring card for this restaurant:1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking.2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean but not up to date.3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive compare to other same stars and type food they serve4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is good,food taste is good and portions are good.5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of America food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare anywhere in USA. Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's needOverall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Ted's coney Island used to be our favorite Coney Island. Always went there after church on Sundays. When Mr. Ted was running the place, food was always good, hot and fast. Seems they've changed vendors or something because chili is not nearly as good as it used to be. We still go there, but not as often anymore.

Great menu options, and food was delicious. Try the Slim Jim sub with a side of chili cheese fries! The misses had the chicken noodle soup. All of it was great. The service was great and friendly and I love the old school diner vibe!

Probably the cleanest Coney Island I've ever stepped into. It looks like it was remodeled recently so it looks really good. The staff were all so friendly and kind. It's a small place but the food was really good. I had the veggie skillet with a side of pancakes and my husband had the Philly steak skillet. I really enjoyed my pancakes too, the butter spread they use is so creamy and good so make sure you order a side of that. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this a zero star review, I would. READ THIS.. if you are a person of color (POC) , do not go there!! Walked in, no greetings, nothing. Went to sit down with my son and partner, and another family came in, I hate to say it but they were white and menus were brought to them. Drinks were served to them as well meanwhile we were just waiting on the blonde waitress to bring us our drinks... instead she went to run the cash register and take phones calls completely disregarding us. Never felt so uncomfortable at all. Will never ever go and I will make sure to let others know of there service..

We walked in at 8:20 and was told they were carry out only that's not the issue here at all it's when we walked out nicely we hear a cook in the back say the fxck out of here towards us would not recommend this place for service at all
