I must say I wasn't extremely excited about eating here as I visited the first week they opened and while it was OK, I didn't think they would make it. The location is a little bit off the road and they were struggling with service.Well I am here to tell you that they have gotten it together and knocked it out of the park. I have since been back twice and ordered tortilla soup as a takeout. It was that good. The street tacos were amazing and the other dish ordered by our party was amazing too. See picture, it has cactus leaves hanging out the side. I was so mad at myself because the leftovers we took home were left in the car overnight and we couldn't eat them. This is a fantastic restaurant in Farmington Hills. I'm glad to see they are doing well. I'll definitely be back. Forgot to mention, their cocktails were excellent too. We got skinny margaritas.

Taques Bar and Grill is hip and poppin'!The place was packed (make a reservation.) The lights are dim but accent colored lights are a glow from the wall accessories/decor. Such as a pretty cool large image of the moon (my kids were mesmerized by it.) Overall, a really good vibe happening here but it's loud. You've been warned. The strawberry margherita was tasty (a little too much liquor when I prefer to taste the strawberry.) The birria tacos, not the best. They were ok. The Chorizo queso was like one solid piece of cheese. I liked the flavor but other queso's have been easier to eat. The winning bite was a little chorizo queso with a little sour cream and birria consome. Your welcome! My kids both had kids meals (one burrito and one tenders.) Good portions and affordable. Overall I thought this is a great spot for girls night but if you are looking for intimate and able to have good conversation, choose another restaurant.True score: 3.5

I've been excited to try Taques since first hearing of the eventual opening, so dinner was a long time coming for us! We came as a group of 9, and even with a reservation, it took a little time to get sat. Of course no problem at all, but with the size of a restaurant and it being a local hit, don't expect to come here with a group of more than 2 without a reservation, especially on a weekend. Between our entire party, we tried a pretty good selection of food and drinks. The spicy marg was a huge hit. They have a few beers on tap as well as their mixed drink menu. They also feature a few really tasty mock tails! The guacamole was very tasty! We also got the chorizo-queso which wasn't quite what we expected. It was a very thick cheese combo served with flour tortillas. The floutas were super tasty, I tried potato and chicken both, but would likely go with just chicken next time. My husband got a variation of street tacos and said it was incredible. The quesa-birria was definitely the table favorite! We also got the flan and fried ice cream. If you don't like shredded coconut, I probably wouldn't recommend the fried ice cream, but if you are a fan this was SUPER tasty! In all, we look forward to returning for a super delicious meal.

Service was okay right after opening on a Sunday in January. Taco salad was a little greasy but the salad dressing was good. Could take it or leave it overall.

I ordered the deep fried buritto. Presentation was very good but the taste was lacking. I've had much better at other Mexian restaurants. Atmosphere is very nice.

Such a great thing when everything comes together in wonderful harmony! Taques is one of those gifts! The atmosphere and the aesthetics are so cool! Relaxing, vibey, colorful, fun and the room just dances along with the food and drinks! They will have an outdoor area to dine as well when the warmer weather comes around. The service is friendly, inviting, welcoming and they help to make the experience even better! As good as that is, the food is the star of the show! Everything was delicious! From the steak alambres, to the tempura shrimp tacos, my gosh, so good! The tempura shrimp tacos will be on repeat! We also had enchiladas and the birria tacos and it was all mouth watering and satisfying! They have house made salsas, great chips and the queso chorizo dip did what it was supposed to do! There are so many items I will be coming back to try! Such a pretty place with great food and lovely, fun vibe! See ya soon!

This place has great ambiance and fun decor. The atmosphere and vibes is perfect for date night and hanging out with friends. They have great drinks and food. I got the quesabirrias and it was delicious! The service was a bit slow and the waitress took a while to come back and take our orders despite us putting the menu down and looking around. She also only checked on us once or twice the whole time. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

It's dark inside, classical music playing and fancy for Mexican. The jazz music in the background came out after we were seated. Not the kind of music expected for such a place. Jake is waiting on us. First round of chips are free. Extra chips is $2. Extra mild salsa is $1. This place it seems is the kind of spot that likes to and will nickel and dime you for everything. Ordered chips and salsa (mild), the hot salsa is $5 more (significantly more than the mild and for the same size ramekin too), extra chips and two extra mild salsas, guacamole, flautas and quesadillas with added chicken $4) and two side of whole pinto beans. $48.76The mild salsa has more flavor than the hot salsa to us, but the hot salsa gives the mild salsa the much needed kick or heat it needs. The chips were not so good, tasted stale even, at least the first two baskets. The 3rd basket was the freshest of the 3 baskets. You will have to conserve your one free mild salsa for your food or pay for more to eat with your food. The guacamole came out rather delayed, the waiter had to ask if we had received it since we were polishing up the second basket of stale chips from hunger. The guacamole is decent, but my hubby thinks it's rather small for $8, but I reminded him that they do after all charge $5 for the ramekin of hot salsa. The flautas aren't too bad, super crunchy, a bit scant on the filling though. The chicken quesadillas are super flat, almost didn't look like there was anything in them when placed in front of us. The cheese is bland and the grilled chicken bits are tiny inside of it. The most deflated quesadillas I have ever laid eyes on. The pineapple pico is good. The pinto beans are as expected. Service was good.

Super cute place hidden at the end of a small strip mall. Emily was a great server. Very prompt and (what I like) only stopped by when she thought we needed something. We had the guacamole appetizer, which was a very nice serving size. The chips & salsa are free and the chips were warm when they came to the table. Our mains were chile relleno and quesadilla birria. We also got the fried ice cream to go. Emily gave it to us on our way out to make sure it was as fresh as possible. Definitely going back here again! Chili rellenos are hard to make so when I find a restaurant that makes a good one I'm set for life. We were able to walk in but I'd recommend calling if it's a weekend. Please save me a seat for when I come back!
