Taqueria San Jose

Taqueria San Jose has always been a favorite of mine. While I usually opt for takeout, I've also dined in a few times and had great experiences.You can't go wrong with their birria tacos, which come with rice and beans--always a solid choice. Their chicken and steak tacos are both delicious and reasonably priced. Whenever they have pineapple Jarritos, I make sure to grab one, too. Overall, it's a fantastic taqueria that I highly recommend!

First of all, the food taste like RAT poison. In my opinion, us humans are NOT RATS! My dear son got a headache and my daughter threw up. I don't know why we were treated like some animals, but the staff treated us horribly. It also smelled like POOP! If you wanna go to a good restaurant, make sure its NOT this one.

To begin with, it's a very small place, but the food is delicious. I was a little bummed they no longer had the shrimp enchiladas with a white cheddar sauce, but my shrimp enchiladas with a verde sauce was excellent. I'm normally a food porn fiend and I take photos, but I honestly dove right in. Their chips and salsa were so fresh. We had three bowls of the salsa brought to the table and took leftovers home. My kids liked the salsa the best!My partner cleared his plate (and I unfortunately cannot remember his order) too, also declared it was delicious. My last star was removed only because the bathroom had only one toilet and it wasn't flushing and someone had been in there a very long time before us... and while nothing was in the toilet, it wouldn't flush after they left. At a Mexican diner, I'd fix that!

I am on some kind of Mexican food kick lately. I'm not sure what's gotten into me, but just go with it, okay?I was starving and came here for lunch today and it was alright. Place is bright and colorful and my waitress was fabulous. I wasn't sure what to get, so I decided on the Huervos Rancheros. I wanted tacos, but saw this instead, so I ordered it. While I waited for my food, I got some chips and salsa. Chips were good, salsa could've used a bit more kick to it.When the food came out it had a green sauce instead of a red sauce. Fine, that's okay. But the sauce was super lime juice tasting to the point that by the time I finished it, I literally could only taste the overly limed salsa. It was a bit much for me. I think they also put to much of the salsa on as well, so it was kind of soupy.the rice and beans were great, and I got tortilla's to go with my dish. I ended up putting my eggs, rice and beans in a tortilla and it was excellent. The tortillas saved the day!The place has a great menu and even though it's out of my range, I got to try the place. I might try their tacos next time, but will pass on the Huervos Rancheros. Even though it was good, it had to much lime juice in the salsa and they put to much on to the point of it being soupish.

This restaurant has excellent Mexican food. My boyfriend was craving Mexican food and we looked on doordash to see what would deliver in this area. I was surprised they would deliver this far because we are in Farmington Hills and they are in Waterford but it worked out. Tacos are only $3 each and are very authentic. I ordered one chicken, one steak, and one carnitas taco and my boyfriend ordered an à la carte burrito. The guacamole was a bit expensive, it was $7.99 but they did give a large portion of what looked to be homemade tortilla chips with it. The guacamole was also delicious, it had large chunks of avocado in it. Would definitely order from this restaurant again, everything was very tasty.

The only great Mexican around this area. Not exactly close to me but I'm happy to drive there. Everything they make is authentic and delicious. Prices are great. $50 gets you a lot of stuff to try. Tacos are real deal and served as they should be. Onions cilantro. Radishes to if you want. Never had a bad meal. I've been eating at the little take out taqueria on Elizabeth for thirty years. They opened a San Jose bar and grill sit down close by. It's damn good to. The enchiladas rancheros were stellar. Kick ass tamales. The sit down has Tampico. A cocktail glass filled with crushed tomatoes avocado onion ceviche seafood. That's a real deal old school dish. Refreshing. Any way. It's the best around. Everything I've had was awesome. You gotta try it.

these tacos are FIRE. meat is perfectly cooked and the chorizo adds a kick. these are a must have from here !!

We have a go to place in Pontiac but wanted to try something different and I'm glad we did. The guacamole was fresh and good. We do like it a little spicy. This one was not. My husband got a veggie fajita burrito. It had a delicious smokey flavor and very cheesy! I got the Mexican taco dinner. I got two with fried tripe and one with carnitas. All of them were great! The service is amazing. She was so attentive and helpful. The only thing that my husband said was missing was an Ojo Rojo haha. I want to point out that they have agua fresca. I didn't notice till I ordered a coke. I'll get it next time!

Great food. Affordable. Small place - great for take out. Authentic Mexican. Has the feeling of a family owned place.

Best place for Mexican food and music. People are friendly and helpful. Prices are great! Enjoy the experience You will not be sorry!
