I might just have a new favorite taco spot in Ypsi. If you're looking for an unassuming restaurant that provides killer food at a reasonable price - look no further! I've been to Taqueria La Marqueza a few times now and each time has left me wanting to go back immediately. The food is spectacular, and the staff is super friendly; they were really helpful in trying to understand the best options. My personal recommendation: get the Chorizo! It's fantastically seasoned, and truly leaves you wanting to eat about 7 metric tons of it. It's great in the tacos, and their burrito is an excellent value as well. If you're doing a takeout order, my pro-tip is to get some tacos and order a burrito for lunch the next day! The restaurant's red & green salsas are both excellent -- make sure to grab some extra because you'll probably want to drink it with a straw. Still reading the review? Is Taqueria La Marqueza open? Tried this place again 1.5 years later. Ordered the same thing, assuming last time was a fluke. Once again the meat was grisly and there were weird textures in the rice. I ate a few bites and my stomach started to hurt. Threw the rest away; literally threw $20 in the garbage (DoorDash). Lesson learned, will not be eating food from here again.

This is a staple restaurant for us in the area! We have been coming here for 7 years. The food is always delicious and the service has always been fast and friendly. I am a vegetarian and my husband eats meat, our son is a pescatarian. There are options for all of us, we seriously eat here at least 3 times a month! I love their verde sauce and always order extra to enjoy the next day. Today I got a vegetarian wet burrito. IT WAS SO GOOD!! And look how beautiful it looks! I had to share. I can't recommend this place enough. Best in the area.

Ordered taco salad for my shut in neighbor. Ordered deep fried tacos for me. Big mistake! Leave time to go to store to grab missing items you Ordered. Too many places selling Mexican food around here for this.

I don't often (if ever) leave reviews but I felt I needed to here. My wife and I are visiting from California where quality Mexican food is a stones throw away from any direction, so my standards are a bit high. They exceeded those expectations in every way. The tacos were amazing, everything was homemade with quality ingredients, and the price to food ratio was refreshing. If you are looking for authentic Mexican street food, definitely give them a chance. We will be back for sure!
