This is by far the best Mexican food I've had in Detroit, closest to what I grew up with. The only thing they don't have is anything with "real" green chiles, from Hatch.That said, this is insider awesomeness paradise. The food is outstanding, served fast, and the place is zerod frills looks, like it came off a street in any town in Mexico. The staff is super-friendly and clean, and the smells are just....Awesome.Get the street tacos or fresh tamales. Take a few bags of tamales home with you. I've had everything there, and there isn't anything that I'd tell you to avoid. Dive in.

Just randomly stopped here and what a pleasant surprise! Great food and amazing price! Bought food for three and we all loved it. Went back the next week for more!

Their VM only gives their hours only. They are open for 8pm except for Tuesday, only open until 7pm. Made it here before they closed tonight, it's a Monday. Doing taco Tuesday early. There are only about 4 tables inside, it's a small place. Counter order herrOrdered chicken flauta dinner, one large chicken quesadilla, 1 grilled chicken taco and 2 mandarin Jarritos. $28.08. The flautas are packed with chicken and the shell is super crunchy and crispy. The beans were ok. The chicken quesadilla was good, nicely packed with chicken, cheese was ooey and gooey. Flour tortilla could have been crispier though. The grilled chicken taco was also good, packed as well. Their hot salsa is good, nice heat to it. Service was quick and easy. They take credit card.

I just had the steak torta. The bread is nice and soft. Plenty of cheese and spicy jalapenos. This is a tiny little hole in the wall place. They have a few seats but most people were getting carry out. It's good for your work lunch break. They were super fast. You can also call ahead if you're super stressed for time. There menu was pretty basic which I consider a good thing. When place have too many things on the menu to me it tells me those dishes probably aren't homemade but rather frozen and heated up/fried on site.

Love the tacos, the tortas, the beans and rice is amazing. I love the barbacoa and the ground beef and the chicken

This place is a hidden gem. Everything on the menu looked good. I got the pork tamales. They were very good and very flavorful. The beans were also excellent. I would come back here and try some quesabirria tacos. The prices were decent. My meal was $12

Stopped here today after an oil change at Ed Rinke. Had a craving for Mexican. Told the young lady at the counter it was my first visit. She recommended a few things. I ordered a chicken burrito & a wet burrito. Very authentic & not slobbered with too much cheese. I asked for spicy sauce & boy was it spicy:) Will go there again. Thank you!

Food is great, and reasonably priced. Service was great too. Bf had the torta, he loved it. I had the gorditas. Also great

All my wife wanted for Christmas was tacos (we love tacos). we recently saw a picture of a taco Christmas tree so I went to Taqueria Alma to see if they can make it and they did! I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and the customer service is amazing. The fact that they made a taco tree was even more amazing. Used to work nearby. This place has one of the best Spanish rice I've ever had! Tamales and Al pastor taco were also favorites
