Tacos el Toro

Hands down my favorite taco truck. Don't get your Jarrito from here they're always flat. I love everything that's not Cerdo on the menu especially marinated beef and beef tongue. I'm truly spoiled and THEY TAKE CARDS NOW !!

Two words: Shrimp TacosThey are so freaking good. I wish I had been eating these the past seven months. I was missing out. Do it!!!!!

We were on our way to the opera, running way early due to utter lack of traffic. Heading down Michigan Ave where there are about six strip clubs you pass on your way between I-94 and downtown, abandoned buildings, we even spied a rat. Classy, very classy. Then we spotted it, a taco truck. Tacos el Toro. Yep there we stopped. On the way to the opera, standing in the sketchy parking lot, chowing down on tasty tacos. Between us we had cabeza, al pastor, barbacoa and asada nicely topped with onions and cilantro and in slightly crunchy tortillas. Friendly guy serving, bargain pricing but a bit tricky eating.So worth it. Happy tacos indeed. We were hungry so we did not care a bit about the lack of ambiance. James helped me not make a complete wreck of myself and in return I let him sample some of my picks. We savored our meaty treats and debated about doing a taco run sometime this summer, just the two of us having a little adventure. I realized after seven years of marriage my husband can still happily surprise me, all thanks to eating tacos from a taco truck.We will come back.

Awesome. Found a different truck today while driving down Michigan Avenue. Tried both cabeza and al Pastor tacos. Both were tasty. They were prepared with the standard onions and cilantro and I had them add some of their red hot sauce. The shells were slightly different than most of the trucks, almost having the consistency of a flour tortilla that has been grilled for some time and having a slight crunch. When I asked for everything I was also given a side of marinated carrots which were excellent, lime and radishes. This all made for a very nice plate. I definitely want to get back and explore this truck a bit more.

Great Tacos period. Quick and friendly service reasonable price. I cant wait to go back.

Most expensive tacos form the trucks here in Detroit and very salty Cabeza and al pastor !

If you are looking for some of the best Tacos in the city but don't want to dine in. Then this is the spot they are always parked in the parking lot located on Michigan ave and Martin st. The chicken tacos w/ onions and cilantro are absolutely killer. I always order 5 or 6 at a time. The only thing is they are a little pricey for a taco truck.

This place has the BEST tacos, Better than Taco Bell. The tacos consist of onion , cilantro , beef and that's pretty much it but it is the best combination you'll ever find. You can also add hot sauce( Red or green) and lime. Enjoy this place because they'll have the best tacos you can find.
