I had a lovely experience as a first time guest at Sylvan Table. It's highly recommended to have a reservation- unfortunately we weren't able to get one, so we got there right when they opened to grab some bar seating. Even these fill up quickly! The bar staff was so lively and had great recommendations. They change their menu every few weeks. We were told they use a lot of vegetables grown from their garden and they also have a pastry chef on site. We ordered the bread service and kale caesar for starters. The bread is currently "orange ricotta". It was the perfect texture. I'll have to say the orange was notable and it didn't taste quite right to me because of that (I'm not an orange fan- so I could have anticipated this). The kale salad was outstanding. It had white anchovies, which put together the salad. For entree I had the pork chop. I was able to sub broccolini instead of potatoes. The broccolini was perfect! The pork chop was thick and moist. It could have boasted a little more flavor to me- would have been great with some sort of sauce. My family had the chicken and the short rib. They both enjoyed theirs and from the bites I had- were also great. The star of the night was the hazelnut baked Alaska. I've never been blessed to eat this dish, but I'm so glad to have gotten it here. Hazelnut was the perfect flavoring for this! We had a great experience here and will definitely be returning!

A beautiful place inside and out. We visited for the first time on a Snowy Saturday evening and were happy to see the warm cozy wooden interiors including an extensive bar sitting and fireplace. We had reservations and were seated immediately on arrival. It was Valentine week and the place was quite packed. Our servers were all very informative, made sure to ask us about allergies, gave us a disclaimer when we ordered a trout, which comes in one piece, and seemed proud of their farm to table and locally sourced set up. For drinks we ordered "put in on your pipe" whiskey cocktail and curious elixir 2. While the whiskey was great, the elixir seemed more of an acquired taste and I didn't enjoy it much.In dinner , we ordered bread of the day which was sourdough and came with 3 flavors of butter - plain salted, rutabaga and grape- all very subtle yet flavorful; roasted cabbage- perfectly charred though a little more sweet for my taste, and eagle creek rainbow trout which my friend found amazing. I was looking for some more savory main-course options in vegetarian but the current menu selection didn't have any to my liking.Nevertheless we were advised that the menu changes every 2 weeks or so based on what is currently growing in the farms. Planning to go back near summertime to enjoy the delicacies the place has to offer and also to walk through the farms.

The restaurant is a wonderful and cozy spot with a delightful vibe. We were fortunate to be seated by the fireplace, adding to the charming ambiance. The food and drinks were all excellent, with each dish showcasing a perfect balance of flavors. It's wonderful to know that all the ingredients are home-grown, ensuring freshness and quality. Our server was extremely nice and friendly, providing attentive and personalized service. As a delightful surprise, we were given two complimentary small home-grown radishes to try!!!The staff's attention to detail and genuine warmth made our dining experience truly memorable.

We came here around 5:00 on a Saturday for my husbands birthday. We had a reservation for 5:15. We were a bit early but they sat us right away. This is a farm to table experience and we walked around the farm for a few minutes before going inside. We saw a staff member outside picking flowers and herbs, which we then recognized on our plates which was pretty cool. We started with some drinks and the bread service. The bread of the day was a pepper Parmesan loaf. It came with three butters (salted, butternut squash, and cinnamon honey). The bread was fantastic! It was warm and crunchy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside. We next got main dishes. I got the chicken under a brick and I think it was the best chicken I have ever had. It was so moist and tender with good flavor. My mom got the ribs and got a fatty piece and they switched it out for the chicken. The guys both got the rainbow trout and loved it. We also got some shareable sides: mashed potato, beets, Brussels sprouts, and mushroom risotto. They were all delicious but my favorite was the mashed potatoes! After dinner they brought a hand signed birthday card for my husband with a candle (just in a dish, not with a dessert which we thought was a little weird). Overall we had a great time! The food was all amazing. It's a little bit expensive but worth the price for a special night out.

Had a delicious meal here. The service was great and the ingredients were very fresh and top quality. Our server gave great suggestions. I also enjoyed the ambiance it was very warm and inviting. The espresso martinis are definitely worth a try as was the charcuterie board. This is a spot to come back to more than once as their menu is seasonal and changes all the time.

What an amazing experience. A new friend wanted to take me here and I had never heard of Sylvan Table before this trip so I was worried that the drive was kind of far (from where I live) but THE DRIVE WAS WORTH IT. What a special place. The restaurant is styled like a barn. We sat in an outdoor area rather than inside and it was perfect. The music in the background, the lighting the ambiance everything was literally perfect. Our waitress was on point. The drinks were delicious and the food was unreal. I ordered beets and carrots and I would make this drive every week if I could for those beets. The beets were plated on hummus and cooked to perfection. They have a farm where they grow a lot of ingredients they use. I think the idea is a farm to table restaurant. If you are looking for a someone to go for a special occasion I promise this is the place!

Fourth time dining at Sylvan Table last night for a 5 pm reservation for 5 people. Actually, a birthday celebration which was annotated on our reservation. Parking lot had a good amount of cars and when walking in this was confirmed by a reasonably busy restaurant for a Sunday early dinner. Waiter (with a hoodie as a uniform) introduced himself and introduced another young man who appeared in training. It took awhile to get our drink order placed. When glancing at the menu it's hard to say how they arrived at the entrees listed and there were no specials! No steak, no lamb, no salmon, no burgers, no pork chops. For a dinner house this seems odd. That said, we ordered our entrees with sides of carrots and brussels. When the entrees arrived everything looked extremely unappealing! Very greasy! Very rich! And nothing tasted great. For this gorgeous restaurant, situated on a farm, in lovely Sylvan Lake, it's time to hire a talented executive chef and execute meals to match the ambiance which is second to none! Our bill was accurate and rather pricy and they add a service charge for credit cards - perhaps this should be mentioned to guests (we rarely carry $400 cash in our wallet)

Finally!!!! I was able to check out Sylvan Table! I've been wanting to come here, however I didn't have anyone interested in coming. Well, I'm the type of person who waits on NO ONE! My good people this place did not disappoint! I should have came here a long time ago. The staff were very friendly (shoutout to Lisa & Josh) & accommodating, the food was DELISH & the drinks were just as good!! I love the ambiance here. There is a beautiful outdoor area to dine, an outside wood smoker, and 3 green houses! I can confidently say this place is one of my faves in Metro Detroit!I enjoyed the Chicken Under the Brick, mash potatoes, Caribbean Queen (cocktail), Lavender Haze (cocktail), and a radish veggie with an amazing sauce compliments of the chef!

This restaurant was really neat and unique. Their patio and barn were beautiful. The menu changes I'm told. I enjoyed the fresh bread. I got the steak entree which was delicious and cooked well. Not a piece of fat on the whole thing. Wish there were more potatoes but it was good. For dessert, we had the beignets. Will def be back! Beautiful ambiance. Unique farm to table place. Somewhat secluded but very busy!
