Sweet Treats Cakes & Pastries

I went into the bakery today to grab something for a neighbor who's birthday it was. It smells FANTASTIC in here. Cupcakes are $5.50 which is slightly on the higher side, but they're big cupcakes so it's fairly priced. I chose the strawberry shortcake cheesecake, which I did not know was not considered a cupcake and was $11. It was a mother daughter working there which I really like, and I would've given 5 stars except for the fact I was not informed that it was not considered a cupcake. I asked my neighbor for a review (she's 7) and she gave it a 10/10! She said it was sooo tasty and she even gave me a tiny bite. It was slightly on the sweeter side for me, but really tasty and different anyways- overall, I would definitely return to get a cupcake, especially knowing I'm supporting a small family business

Omg!!! Both the "MVP" and Red Velvet cupcake was delicious!!! Both were HUGE and enough to share; even though I didn't want too ... cake was moist, customer service was great and bakery was nice and clean. Will definitely return!!!

My first time ordering a cake from this establishment I found on Google and it was almost too easy. I live in Vegas and wanted a cake for my boyfriend (who is from Detroit ) their service was prompt and they didn't need much time to complete the order. I paid a deposit & paid the balance when the cake was complete. Not only did it look better than the picture I sent but it taste amazing ! I cannot wait to be a returning customer to this establishment.

I revisited Sweet Treats bakery again on December 30, 2022. As usual, the customer service was really great. The service was prompt, my cupcake barista offered recommendations and patiently answered my questions about the different flavors of cupcakes. This location is very clean, well lit, and with a beautiful minimalist decor. I ordered six different cupcakes to share while visiting family. I selected, Going Bananas, Smooth Operator, Lemon Chill, The Classic, Matilda, and Strawberry cupcakes. My family was split on the Going Bananas cupcake. It was very dense for a cupcake. The cake flavor was good, however the majority felt it was too dense in texture. A few of us reported the frosting was way too sweet and heavy in our opinions. 5/10The Smooth Operator was next on our try plate. The cake was baked perfectly. Not dense at all. It was very light, not too sweet, great light crumb, and very nice flavor. The caramel frosting, again was too sweet. A pinch of salt would have been great to balance some of the sweetness. The frosting was unanimously too sweet in our opinions. 7/10We followed up with the Lemon Chill. The lemon cupcake was sweet with a great lemon flavor. The middle of the cupcake had a lemon filling which had a poor lemon and metallic flavor. It ruined a perfectly flavored lemon cake. The frosting was surprisingly well balanced and not too sweet. This cupcake could have easily been an award winner without the filling. It was an overall favorite minus the lemon metallic filling. 8/10 as is, but definitely a 10/10 without the lemon gel filling.The Classic was up next. The cupcake was well baked, but not as light and airy as the caramel cupcake. Yet still flavorful. The frosting, again, overwhelmingly sweet. Most of us were scraping off the frosting and just eating the cake. 6/10Next, we tried the Matilda cupcake. The cupcake had a cocoa flavor. I would have liked it to have a bit more cake moisture. Others agreed but we decided it wasn't too dry. What was strange about Matilda is the chocolate frosting was not as sweet as the frosting on the Classic. The frosting was sweet, but not horribly sweet. 8/10Lastly, we tried the Strawberry cupcake (this one is NOT the specialty Strawberry Crunch, that's a different item). I did not try this one so this is my family's review. "The cake was good and tastes like strawberry. The frosting is good but really sweet." 7/10I like the Smooth Operator with just a spoonful of the frosting the best. However, we have rated each cupcake as a collective. This review is based on our taste pallets and is our opinion after tasting each cupcake personally. This is our honest review. I personally, recommend this bakery to anyone looking for flavorful and large sized cupcakes and cakes. The customer service is always fantastic! Im always greeted promptly with a pleasant demeanor. The bakery is pristine at every visit thus far. If you enjoy American frosting, you will love this bakery. I am not sure, but I believe if you made a special request to have less sweetened frosting, the owner and operator would be kind enough to schedule a consultation with you. They are very professional! Please support this bakery. They have huge cookies as well! I want to try them next!!

Excellent deluxe desserts! Fresh, tasty and original. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

I happened into this store and OMG!!! SO GOOD! THE OWNER IS REALLY SWEET! I tried the Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake Cupcake and it's a taste of heaven! Open Tuesday-Saturday from 9-6pm. Black owned business and everything made from scratch!!!

This place is fairly new a must see! The cakes are good and rich. The staff is super nice and helpful. You can get items like cake slices, cookies, and cupcakes. This is real deal. I order butter pecan cake slice. Will be back again.

They made my birthday so special! I really wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream cake for my birthday and forgot to order one in advance! They heard my story and put together a cake for me even though I didn't have an order! The workers were so kind! And THE CAKE!!! Ahh best chocolate cake I have ever had! Shared with multiple friends and family members who also agreed! Definitely coming back for all future celebrations and can't recommend higher!!

I was visiting family in Detroit, from Atlanta, and wanted to buy my family some cupcakes... so glad I stopped here! The cupcakes were absolutely delicious and baked to perfection. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck too since they're so huge! The ladies were very nice and welcoming, and the shop is so cute! I'd love to stop by again whenever I'm in the Detroit area!
