Sushi Zen

Always great to the sushi is fresh and the portions are more than generous. The staff does a great job when it's busy and I always appreciate how quick they are. I can't recommend the inari sushi enough!

I keep searching for a better sushi spot in the metro Detroit area, but time and time again, I find myself coming back to Sushi Zen. It still holds my number one spot for the overall best sushi. Honestly, I hate even writing this review because the wait can already be long, and it seems like more people are catching on--but it's no secret: their sushi is amazing. A true gem!

Excellent, every single time. I'm a sushi snob and this is one of my top places in metro Detroit for high quality sushi. It's always fresh, premium quality, and they have great cocktails to accompany the food. They also have real wasabi options to up charge for. The servers are veterans and provide excellent service. I recommend the cycle cabernet to accompany your meal. I also love the steamed broccoli and edamame as an appetizer.

the BEST sushi around! so many options, quick service and great for take out. the chicken wings are AMAZING (thin, panko fried, chili sauce) as well as the MSU roll. a little outdated inside but overall a go-to

Love sushi or sushi novice, this is your place! Get your reservation in, because this place is SO GOOD there is even a wait on Sundays! This is the premier sushi restaurant in Livingston county maybe the best in the neighboring counties too! Service is always with a smile. The cozy ambiance is perfect for dates, get togethers and celebrations. Kids (kid like adults too) will love the strawberry roll or the banana Hama roll!

Best Sushi in Michigan. We love coming here for special occasions. Our entire family enjoys this restaurant!

I love Sushi Zen. I've gotten a different meal each time I've stopped in and I've NOT been disappointed each time.

Busy. Make a reservation. I followed Chef Nobu here but he has now left a few years ago. Still good however, the chef surprise is up to the head chef, which since Nobu left, is typically a lot of cooked, fried rolls and apps. The chef surprise has always been a nice blend of raw, rolls and feature apps. Still very good but not my cuppa. Great place to appease the whole family. They are not just a sushi joint. They have a good size dining room with great waitstaff though they are usually busy. There are specials each night so look up the list and enjoy martini Monday or half off bottles of wine. They do takeout and catering platters too.

Iv never had a bad experience here, the service is always a 10/10 the place looks amazing and I feel like I'm eating in a real Japanese place, iv been eating here for 3 years on my birthday and it's always a great experience aswheel with the ambiance, and the Food is always 10/10 never had a bad meal there in my life.
