Sushi King

Kinda nervous walking into a small informal sushi place.... Well, might not go here to impress a date, but they sure did impress my tummy!Lover's roll was amazing with plenty of fish and a delicate taste.... We had other rolls and they were all excellent. Blows the water out of the other places in Rochester Hills area...Shrimp tempura with veggies was also very good!Roll prices are a dollar or so more than other places but they are worth the slightly higher price for much higher quality and good size!

Like most sushi restaurants, this place was extremely clean! The service was prompt and everything was delicious. We started with a dobin mushi soup; it was my first time with it, the whole experience was great with this. The broth was very flavorful as were the shrimp and mushrooms in it. We also got the fry shumai and I highly recommend it. Normally I opt for the gyoza but it was nice to try something different. The sushi was really good, we got the salmon lover, genki, wonder roll and something else. The music over the radio played the same song for the hour and fifteen minutes we were there, that was disturbing but outside of that, this was a wonderful experience!

Cute little restaurant. Very clean and organized. Service and food were both excellent. Really like their sushi menu. A great variety of sushi rolls with unique combinations. We got the under the sea roll which has lobster meat with scallops on top. Very unique and tasted amazing. The sweet heart roll was also tasty, with beautiful presentation. Ramen is one of the best in the area (and I've been to many ramen places). Broth is not salty and very drinkable. Beef is super tender. I really like the bouncy texture of the ramen noodle. Overall 10/10 experience. Would definitely return.

I finally stopped in here on a blistery January day to try something different for lunch this time around. It seems like most of the Sushi restaurants around here are either outrageously expensive, have limited hours, or both. Sushi King's open and doesn't charge a lot for what they serve, comparatively speaking.The place is small, but it appears some upgrades have been done since they moved in here. Large, clean tables along with a few other upgrades that make it more inviting. I was greeted immediately and told to sit down and a waitress would be with me shortly. I got to review the menu and it appears they have quite a few menu options to choose from. While I'm not the most well versed in Sushi, I've had enough that I know what I like. I ended up getting their lunch special for $10.95 which came with two rolls and miso soup. While I wasn't thrilled about the Miso soup coming out first, it actually worked out quite well in the end. The Sushi rolls I got looked and tasted absolutely fabulous and had all the fixings with it. Wasabi sauce, soy sauce on the table, along with ginger and proper chopsticks.My bill was about $11 after tax, and I was happy with everything here. Finally, actual sushi without an attitude from people around me, not terribly expensive and very good as well. Overall, I'd gladly return in the future for a lot more.

A tiny little sushi spot. They had a lot of different specialty rolls and the quality of everything was great. It looks like they do mostly take out business with just a few tables. The staff were really nice and attentive. We tried 4 different specialty rolls and all were great. The Fancy roll was especially interesting with the cooked salmon and sweet coconut shrimp. Not sure if it's for everyone but we enjoyed it.

Wonderful food and service. We will def be back as it was all around a phenomenal experience!

Cute new place; we did a pick up order for carry out. The hand rolls I didn't like very much; the texture of the fish was strange. But the other orders we made were good - rolls - tuna and salmon; we also tried a roll w tempura shrimp in it. I would probably try it again in person to see what might be good. I can't comment on service because it was takeout.

Food was okay I didn't like the taste of the sushi but the shrimp bites are so good!!

Great Sushi - amazing flavor and presentation. We got the Dynamite Roll (2) and the Genki Roll. We also got the salmon sashimi which was also very good. It was nice to sit inside and eat, it was great service and nice inside.
