Superior Lakes

My mom and I searched for a winery near us and we really lucked up when Superior Lake popped up. The manager was so personable and friendly. He gave great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about all the wines. He prepared a delicious charcuterie board, and talked with us the entire time. This was a fabulous experience. I strongly recommend stopping by.

GroupOn is great for helping me find little places I wouldn't have otherwise seen. You will almost pass it if you dont know what your looking for. Very nice, small, bright and clean winery. Service from Sarah was great!. There were about 20 brews on the menu board, and we had a groupon for 2 flights, but we upgraded that and decided to "Drink The Board". We got 20 pours, served in 5 pour boards. We were given crackers as a palate cleaner, and spit bucket, but there was really no need for the bucket. All of the wines and meads were very tasty. A few of the experiments made us think a little bit, but we enjoyed talking, sipping our way thru the board, and discussing the flavor profile. I think we will definitly come back and drink the board again, or take home a growler of something good.

My fiancé and I stopped into Superior Lakes today to use our tasting for 2 Groupon and had a great experience! We each were able to sample 5 items each with our flight and all of them were very tasty. Our personal favorites was the Red Dragon wine, the Blackberry Cider and Witch Hunter. All of the meads/wines/ciders we sampled were delicious and unique in their own way. The service was also fantastic, the waitress that worked with us was extremely helpful and showed interest in what our tastes were so we made better choices catered to what we would enjoy. We also made sure to bring a bottle of the Red Dragon home with us and it was very reasonably priced even before their V-Day discount. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

We came here with a Groupon for two flights of wine. It is a very small place, with probably about 5 tables, and then a lounge type of area with a couple of couches, and a Wii gaming system. When we were there, there was a young boy who was playing the Wii in the corner. Kind of strange.The wine was good. I would say that they definitely have a style when it comes to the wine that they make there in-house. They also do offer fills for growlers or howlers.

This was a nice little place. They make their own wine and mead. It's in Harrison Township and very small. But very clean inside and modern and quite fun. They have video game console to play if you so choose. They offer small plates and lots of house made drinks. I sampled the entire front menu with the sampler; so I was able to try them all. Some I liked, some I didn't; to each their own. Plenty of options. In all a very cool place; never been. I'd like to go back.

Great place to swing by on a rainy afternoon with friends. Sample a few wines and meads. Mmmmm they had a peanut butter jelly mead, might have been limited release but oh so good. Also get the cheese plate to have with your sampling. I can see this as a place to celebrate with a small group of friends the staff was very attentive.

Good wine and appetizers.Our server was very pleasant and helpful in choosing the wines, which were all delicious!

If you want to do some wine tasting close to Lake St. Clair DO NOT stop here. The wine was mediocre and extremely limited. The flights are served in plastic medicine shot glasses and if you order a glass it is given to you in a wax covered paper coffee cup! Stemware is hanging but you are not allowed to use it even if you ask the workers. Terrible experience.......I would never go back unless I was doing research to write a new Seinfeld episode!!!

Overall a great experience, really great wines and mead to choose from, very cozy atmosphere with great features and menu options.
