We had brunch on New Year's Day there at 1:25pm (they close at 2pm). The place was slightly busy and were seated with menus right away. The service was very good and fast, but you never felt rushed. The food came out very quickly and was delicious! At 1:50pm I ordered three more meals to go and they came out within 10 minutes! Again..excellent and well cooked. This is a great place for a meal and would recommend to anyone!

The good:The service was exemplary. My waitresses were attentive and genuine. My food appeared quickly. I loved that my server brought me everything I like without asking. Extra napkins, ketchup, hot sauce, and did not keep trying to fill my coffee every five seconds. Loved it. I ordered the big feast breakfast. Three eggs, two meats, hash browns, and toast. I chose over easy eggs, bacon, and ham. Eggs were cooked perfect. Not greasy. The bad:I ordered well done hash browns. They were so well done and loose I had to use a spoon to eat them. Like a pile of saw dust. I honestly think they were deep fried or baked. Tasteless. I chased them around my plate with a spoon trying to capture some. The bacon was cooked nicely but also had no flavor. Not sure why. The ham??? Wow! It was the cheapest lunch meat style ham I ever had. Tasted terrible. Super cheap formed and processed. Not meant for breakfast. Or for any consumption. I ate two bites. Gross. You could buy a real boneless piece of ham and slice it for so cheap. Just buy a boneless but real Dearborn ham and slice it. I got the nerve to tell my waitress. She was so nice. Tried to offer me something else. That was huge. Your ham sucks! Get real ham or just don't offer it. And to be honest your sausage links are pretty cheap and nasty too. Not trying to be hurtful. Or hurt your business. But I paid $20 for breakfast.

One really good breakfast joints. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is nice. I want to give them 5 stars but the place is just really old and no updates seemed to be done. Other than that, the food is great for a traditional breakfast.

Great breakfast place! Super quick service and the servers are very experienced and have ordering down to a science, they are efficient! Omelettes are fluffier than I prefer honestly, I might not order it again but they are good for what they are. Restaurant is pretty busy but not too busy and definitely not loud. No artwork on the walls so it's a bit bland decor-wise but that didn't take away from the experience! Clean restaurant and I'd be back!

I decided to go to Sunny's because of the excellent reviews. When I got there, around 12:10 on a Saturday, every seat was taken and there was a family ahead of me. (They were waiting outside.) It seemed to take quite a while for the staff to even notice that I was there, even though I was the only one waiting inside at first. Then, a lot of other customers came in. Fortunately, bunch of people who had been eating left at the same time. I waited for about 15 minutes to be seated. The woman who seated me was pleasant, and she brought me iced tea quickly. But then, I waited. And waited. And waited. Servers walked by and pretty much ignored me -- which I would think is hard to do in such a small restaurant. Finally, a young woman came to take my order. I ordered a veggie omelette & rye toast. She asked how I wanted it (fluffly, flat or scrambled) and then asked, "That's it?" I said yes.Well, when it came, there were no hash browns and no cheese in the omelette. I eventually was able to flag her down to ask about the hash browns, and she said, "You didn't order them." I pointed out that they were supposed to come with the omelette, but if she took them off the bill, that would be fine. She brought me some instead. The food was good, but nobody ever came back to check on me or to refill my $3.00 iced tea. (I will never understand that, and I really do need to stop ordering it, since I know that it might cost them dime to make.)Since the server had brought me my bill to "prove" that I didn't order hash browns, she didn't come back. I had to ask a different server for a box. I actually wasn't full, but I was tired of being there. When I looked at the bill, I noticed that they charge more for using a credit card (although they call it a discount for using cash). I really despise this new practice. And sure enough, the person at the cash register was my server -- who said something akin to "Hang on a minute" rather than something more professional, like "I will be with you in a minute."I would say that the food is good, although their prices are higher than their online menu shows. But the service was such that I'm not sure that I'll go back. I've gone to lots of small, busy restaurants and rarely do I walk away feeling ignored.

Sunny's has been around for years and is a forever favorite... It's small, locally owned, no-frills / super casual, but consistent, dependable, and has a variety of menu options for all to enjoy. I don't really order anything other than a fluffy egg white omelette because it's my favorite and no one does it better than Sunny's. I like mine with spinach, mushrooms and feta + tomato and/or carrots on the side as well as pita bread. Service is super attentive. Coffee is hot. I will be back on my future visits to Michigan for sure!

Friendly fast service. Great coffee. We arrived at 1:15 to see that they are opened from 8-2pm each day. The restaurant is small and cozy. There were quite a few patrons there. Within 5 minutes of being seated we had water, coffee and our orders in. 10 mins later we were eating our meal. The fries were well done and crispy just the way I like them. The sausage links well done and dry as ordered. I was told the Blueberry pancakes were just a little under done but apparently that did not affect the taste as they were all gone : ). Several cups of coffee later we left all before 2pm and we were not rushed. Overall a good experience.

$$ Probably because the price of eggs is $5 retail, so I'm sure it's still higher wholesale. The service was perfect. I like being left alone with occasional stops to see if my coffee or tea needs a refill. It's a cute breakfast place with both tables and booths. We ordered eggs and hash browns (crispy), and corned beef hash and eggs. Eggs poached medium, coffee and tea. Both beverages ($3 each) were refilled, which is nice since tea drinkers usually have to ask several times for hot water. By the way, if you want water you have to ask for it. Our table was 50/50 for automatic waters. The eggs were fine. The crispy hash browns were - can't believe I'm saying this - too crispy. There was not a non crispy bite in the bunch. The corned beef hash ($16 so I expected something great) since it was two poached eggs and their corned beef hash) was bits of corned beef in hash browns. Again - too crispy and not impressive. Both offered three choices of toast with butter. It's ok, but with the prices of eating out I'm not going back. Sorry guys.
